THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a VP of Sales to build and lead our commercial function from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role at a real inflection point: Lynx has strong delivery capability, a growing reputation, and a clear set of service offerings - and we are ready to scale.

You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to turn that foundation into a consistent, scalable revenue engine. You will define how we sell, what we lead with, and where we focus. Critically, you will not just build the playbook - you will execute it. Early on, that means personally driving and closing key deals while putting the systems and structure in place to grow the team over time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own and deliver on revenue targets across target markets and accounts
  • Personally lead and close strategic engagements, particularly in the early phase
  • Define Lynx's go-to-market: positioning, service packaging, pricing, and messaging
  • Build the full sales motion - from pipeline generation and qualification through to deal close and account expansion
  • Establish practical, lightweight systems for pipeline visibility, forecasting, and account planning
  • Develop and steward senior relationships across pharma, biotech, and medtech clients
  • Recruit, onboard, and grow the commercial team as the business scales
  • Represent Lynx in senior client settings, industry conferences, and key forums


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You have a track record of winning and growing consulting or solutions-based business in life sciences - and you know how to operate in environments where the deals are complex, the buyers are senior, and the relationship matters as much as the proposal.
  • 10-15+ years in commercial roles, with meaningful experience building or scaling a sales or business development function
  • Deep credibility in life sciences - whether from the commercial, data, digital, or R&D side
  • A background in selling analytics, AI, or professional services engagements - where the value is in expertise and outcomes, not just the product
  • A genuine builder's mindset: energised by ambiguity, and skilled at creating structure without over-engineering it
  • A strong operator who can translate vision into consistent day-to-day execution
  • Executive presence and comfort engaging VP and C-suite stakeholders - as a peer, not just a vendor
  • Global exposure across the US, Europe, or Asia is a plus
  • Motivated by long-term value creation - and the equity upside that comes with building something significant


LOCATION

We are looking for candidates based on the East Coast of the United States. Preference is for the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania), given the concentration of life sciences clients and partners in the region. The role involves regular client travel.
