Full Job Description
What You'll Do

As a Sales Professional at Evergreen Trading, you'll begin with a 6-12 month, on-the-job training program designed to build deep product knowledge, sharpen core sales skills, and develop mastery across lead generation, sales execution, transaction structuring, closing, and client management. During this time, you'll gain hands-on experience creating new opportunities through trade shows, networking events, and targeted outreach.

You'll work closely with experienced sales professionals, effectively "apprenticing" as you help manage the sales funnel, support and close transactions, and start building your own book of clients. The goal of this period is simple: learn the product, learn the process, and demonstrate the emotional intelligence, initiative, and drive needed to build strong relationships, earn trust, and close new business.

After completing this initial period, you will take full ownership of the sales process and operate with autonomy. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Building, maintaining, and converting a healthy and predictable pipeline
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process, from initial outreach to contract execution
  • Leading discovery conversations that uncover prospect needs, financial drivers, and decision criteria
  • Presenting Evergreen's value proposition clearly, persuasively, and tailored to senior decision-makers
  • Structuring and negotiating deals that balance customer value with Evergreen's profitability goals
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data for forecasting, pipeline visibility, and activity tracking
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, finance, media, and leadership to deliver the right solutions
  • Representing Evergreen Trading with credibility, curiosity, and professionalism across all prospecting channels, from industry networking to trade show engagements
  • On-going management of your clients (your book) and the economic buyer(s) at your clients

Who You Are
  • You have 5+ years of work experience with 2+ years in marketing at a CPG company and are excited to pivot into a revenue-driven sales role
  • You hold an MBA with a focus on strategy, finance or marketing
  • You're ambitious, competitive, and energized by the challenge and financial rewards of winning new business
  • You bring strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect strategy, pricing, and execution to real outcomes
  • You've held P&L ownership or financial responsibility at the brand, category, or business-unit level
  • You're comfortable with commercial negotiations and value-based selling conversations
  • You're resilient and persistent, and you don't shy away from rejection or complex deal cycles
  • You're a clear communicator and relationship builder, able to engage effectively across functions and seniority levels
  • You're excited to balance a hybrid work culture (3x/week in office) with the travel required to meet people face-to-face to get the job done

Salary: $150,000-$175,000 plus commission

The above represents the expected base salary range for this role.
