Full Job Description
The VP of Product Marketing works alongside the Head of Public Product Positioning and the respective Heads of Client Marketing to set product marketing strategy and objectives for Brooklyn's tax advantaged platform, investment capabilities and products. This leader will be responsible for supporting capital raising efforts and acting as a lead on marketing for Brooklyn. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to develop, deliver, manage and measure the effectiveness of marketing activity to best position Nuveen for growth.

The position requires very close collaboration with the Brooklyn team, members of product, client portfolio management and investments, and the individual will directly support efforts to raise awareness of our products and meaningfully grow and retain assets.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop[AB1.1] and lead product-specific marketing plans and create content supporting Brooklyn's capabilities and related strategies and technology
  • As a marketing lead and subject matter expert, oversee the creation and production of product pitchbooks[AB2.1], collateral and promotional content that is aligned with business strategy and objectives
  • Proactively monitor the competitive landscape to inform brand identity for the Brooklyn platform[AB3.1]
  • Partner with key stakeholders across product, client portfolio management, investments, global client group and marketing to ensure competitive differentiation of products
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and positioning for new product launches, product actions and ongoing systematic campaigns including content strategy, creation, production and distribution through all marketing platforms
  • Drive development and execution of integrated product and thought leadership campaigns leveraging paid, earned and owned marketing levers that can include digital, social, email, webinar, advertising, event and sales enablement, in close alignment with client marketing partners globally
  • Collaborate with brand, design, content, events, social and digital teams to execute and measure marketing initiatives and ensure proper alignment of resources
  • Partner with marketing generalists and marketing services teams to manage and implement updates of marketing collateral and web content
  • Work with compliance department to ensure materials meet FINRA and/or SEC regulatory guidelines and support compliance process from initial submission to final approval
  • Support firm participation/sponsorship and/or other engagement in industry events, as appropriate

  • Deep knowledge of separately managed accounts, direct indexing, tax loss harvesting, tax optimization and customized portfolios
  • Experience in writing clear, compelling and compliant marketing messaging
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, Workfront, Zoom, Seismic, MarTech and AI workflow tools
  • Experience working with complex compliance and filing requirements
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects from beginning to end
  • Established credentials in leading the development and implementation of effective campaigns and communications programs
  • Industry licensing a plus

Base Pay Range: $136,000/yr - $190,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
