Responsibilities

  • Analyze competitor filings to inform product strategies and market positioning.
  • Design workflows to streamline task assignments and execution across teams.
  • Act as a liaison between Compliance, Operations, and Product Development for seamless process implementation.
  • Identify compliance issues and collaborate with teams to address state regulatory requirements.

Full Job Description
  • Lead the State Filings and Product Governance teams, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to oversee the formatting, rule implementation, filing, documentation, tracking, research, and record management of all forms.
  • Provide strategic guidance on processes related to the development, implementation, and maintenance of forms.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all product logs, libraries, and documentation repositories.
  • Supervise and support research efforts to ensure internal form compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Direct and analyze research related to competitor filings and market practices.
  • Design and implement efficient workflows to ensure work is appropriately assigned and executed by the right resources.
  • Serve as a key liaison across Compliance, Operations, Product Development, and Actuarial teams to facilitate the seamless implementation of processes on behalf of the Product Development function.
  • Partner with the Head of Product to develop and execute initiatives that effectively communicate regulatory changes to Underwriting and IT teams.
  • Identify, assess, and address compliance issues related to state regulatory requirements and the organization’s implementation of forms and rules.
  • Collaborate with Compliance to evaluate and manage the impact of regulatory bulletins and circulars on day-to-day operations.
  • Support State Filings in responding to regulatory objections, including conducting research on competitor filings and prior submissions, maintaining strong relationships with regulators, and developing solutions to address state feedback and concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO and Commercial Lines Property & Casualty coverage
  • Professional Lines coverage, forms, rates, and rules
  • Expertise in state filings, including the rates, rules, forms, and answering objections
  • Experience in targeted competitor searches and analysis
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and energetic style are essential
  • Proactive thinker and performer, with the ability to work independently
  • Desire to learn and gain exposure to new areas
  • Minimum 15 years of State Filings/Product Governance experience.  Underwriting, Compliance or IT experience desirable
  • Management/Leadership experience
  • BA/BS required

Salary range specific to for this role: $207,000-$275,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications.  In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
