Crawford & Company is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President, Enterprise Platforms & IT Governance to lead the strategy, modernization, delivery, and operational excellence of our enterprise platforms and corporate business systems. This executive role will oversee technology platforms across ERP, HCM, EPM, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and shared services functions, while providing leadership for IT governance, technology procurement, vendor management, and technology business operations.

Reporting to the EVP, Global CIO, this role serves as a senior technology leader, strategic business partner, and trusted advisor. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Security, and business transformation leaders to ensure enterprise technology investments are secure, scalable, integrated, commercially optimized, and aligned with business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise platform strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with business priorities and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, platform consolidation, application rationalization, and legacy system retirement.
  • Oversee implementation, enhancement, operation, lifecycle management, and support of enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Ensure enterprise platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, optimized for performance, and designed to support a strong user experience.
  • Partner with the EVP, Global CIO to support the Global IT strategy, annual operating plan, executive governance forums, investment reviews, and cross-functional execution.
  • Serve as a primary technology partner for Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Legal, and other corporate functions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable enterprise technology solutions and roadmaps.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, digital assistants, and AI-driven insights within enterprise platforms.
  • Establish and mature IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, decision rights, KPIs, maturity metrics, and executive dashboards.
  • Lead portfolio governance processes to ensure technology investments are prioritized, governed, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Coordinate IT risk management, audit remediation, and compliance activities in partnership with Security, Risk, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead technology procurement and vendor management activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor performance, and value realization.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of IT leaders, architects, and functional experts, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise applications, enterprise platforms, or business systems management.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for enterprise platforms and corporate business systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS, or equivalent preferred.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, including Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, or EPM; PMP; Agile certifications; or Oracle Cloud, Azure, or AWS cloud platform certifications.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale Oracle ERP, HCM, EPM, or enterprise platform transformations.
  • Experience leading global teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience implementing or operating technology governance frameworks such as COBIT and supporting enterprise risk and audit programs.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise software vendors, consulting partners, and system integrators.
  • Experience leading cloud modernization and enterprise platform consolidation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, EPM, modern SaaS ecosystems, enterprise integration, APIs, middleware, data architecture, and business process automation.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing large technology budgets and investment portfolios.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
