Full Job Description
The Videographer/Editor will be responsible for creating video content that supports and advances various MSG business initiatives. This position specializes in wearing multiple hats in both pre-production, production, and the post-production process including; building storyboards, creating shot lists, location scouting, content capture, media management, story editing, selecting stock footage, building motion graphics & text animations, editing and mastering audio, exporting multiple formats for social, compressing and resizing files, and captioning. Confident setting up and rigging studio lighting safely, following proper safety measures and industry best practices. What will you do? • Responsible for assembling long and short form content to support needs for multiple departments under some direction from senior staff • Collaborate with other Videographer/Editors and Editor(s) for content creation • Shoot and handle basic lighting and audio for mid to large-size video productions such as Partner content, smaller story telling series, and event capture with some latitude for judgement/decisions • Support other colleagues on pre-production and shoot production • Oversee, organize and maintain Equipment area • Participate in larger shoots as additional camera or Assistant Camera (AC) • Ingest/Organize/log/clean-up footage from shoots to prepare for edit • Collaborate with Producers and Project Manager to understand the intended messaging of the content • Make suggestions/audition music, graphics and effects within the edit • Export, re-format and quality check to assure all deliveries are to the correct specs What do you need to succeed? • 3-5 years' experience working as a Videographer and/or Director of Photography in varying environments • Strong experience with editing, postproduction and graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects & DaVinci Resolve • Motion Graphics capabilities a plus • Strong knowledge about various cameras, equipment, shooting and editing styles and techniques • Proven track record of being capable of delivering high-quality content regardless of the shoot and other conditions • Organization, attention to detail, clear communication and collaboration is critical for success • Need to embrace the challenge of aggressive deadlines and turnaround while keeping your creativity flowing • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
