Full Job Description
The Role

You own video at InstaLILY: what gets made, how it looks, and how often it ships.

The raw material here is unusually good and almost entirely uncaptured. AI agents running inside distribution warehouses and equipment yards. Forward deployed engineers standing up software in days inside billion-dollar operations. Customers with numbers that sound made up until you see where they came from. Founders with an actual point of view. Almost none of this exists on camera.

Customer stories are the priority. You'll spend real time on location at job sites, branches, and distribution centers, pointing a camera at people who have never been filmed before and getting something true out of them. That skill matters more here than any other line in this posting.

After that, short-form content with the founders and leaders for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. Then event coverage from summits, hackathons, and partner sessions. Product film comes last, because a demo that ages out in a quarter is worth less than a customer story that will still be true in two years.

This is a creator role, not a service desk. You bring the ideas rather than waiting for a brief. If you want to be on camera yourself, we're open to it. Some of the best B2B video right now is made by a person with a face and a point of view, not a brand with a voiceover.

You'll work closely with our brand and content writer, with sales for customer access, and with the founders.
What You'll Do

Roughly in priority order.

Customer stories. Travel to job sites, branches, and distribution centers to film customers talking about what changed. These are the highest-value pieces we make and the hardest to get right.

Founder and executive content. Regular short-form video with the founders and leaders, cut for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.

Event coverage. Film summits, hackathons, and partner sessions, then turn the footage into content that works long after the event.

Product video. Turn a working AI agent into something a buyer understands in ninety seconds. Screen capture, motion graphics, and narrative that doesn't lean on jargon.

Bring the ideas. Propose what we should be filming and why. Nobody here is going to hand you a shot list.

Own production end to end. Pre-production, camera, lighting, audio, edit, color, sound, delivery. Direct freelancers when a shoot needs more hands.

Build the library and the standard. Define what InstaLILY video looks and sounds like, and set up how footage is organized and tagged so a clip shot in March is findable in November.

Ship on a cadence. Consistency beats polish. A good video every week is worth more than a perfect one every quarter.
What You'll Need

4+ years producing video professionally, in-house, at an agency, or freelance. B2B or technical subject matter is a plus, but a strong body of work in any category counts for more.

A body of work. Send three pieces with your application: an interview or customer story, a short-form social cut, and something you made entirely by yourself. Tell us what was yours on each. If you make things under your own name, send that too.

You can direct people who have never been on camera. A warehouse manager who is nervous and in a hurry, an engineer who talks in acronyms, a founder mid-week. This is the skill that decides whether the customer stories work, and it's the one we'll probe hardest.

Ideas of your own. You watch what's working across B2B and consumer video and have opinions about why. You'll be asked what we should make, not just how.

Full-stack production skill. Camera and lighting on location, clean audio in bad rooms, fluent editing in Premiere or Resolve. After Effects or motion graphics is a real plus.

Story instinct. You find the moment in three hours of interview footage. You know the best line is usually the one said after the subject thinks the camera stopped.

Comfort on location. You can walk into an active warehouse or job site, work around people doing their jobs, and get what you need without being in the way.

Range. A polished customer film and a vertical clip shot on a phone in a hallway are both your job.

AI-native. You use AI tools seriously in your production workflow - transcription, rough cuts, generative b-roll, voice - and have a real view on where they help and where they ruin the work.

Travel. Expect roughly 25% travel for customer shoots and events.

In-person availability. 5 days/week, with shoot days counting as in-office. When you're not on location, you're in New York with the team.
What You'll Get

Material worth filming. Real deployments, real numbers, real operators. You won't be making video about a roadmap.

Ownership. First dedicated video hire. You define the look, the process, and the standard, and you decide what gets made.

Gear. We'll equip you properly.

Visibility. Your work is how most people will first encounter InstaLILY.

Stage. Early enough to shape the brand, with customers already live.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Equity: Generous stock options awards and refreshers for top performers.
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Well-being stipend, In-office lunch reimbursement, PTO and 10 US Federal Holidays, and more!

Quality Over Quantity

To ensure a focused, high-quality hiring experience, we kindly ask candidates to limit their applications to 3 open requisitions at any given time. Applying strategically to roles that best align with your skills and career goals gives you the highest chance of standing out. Have you interviewed with us in the past 12 months? We encourage you to reach out directly to your previous interviewer rather than submitting a new application.
