Vice President - US Partnerships

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President - US Partnerships to join our Partnerships & Strategic Investments team. This role is in New York, NY (4 days in-office expected).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Lead complex, cross-functional innovation initiatives from concept through execution, serving as the end-to-end project owner for partnership pilots, proofs of concept (POCs), and strategic investment integrations.
  • Rapidly assess and develop fluency in emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, digital assets, data infrastructure, fintech platforms), translating technical capabilities into clear business use cases and executable project plans.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define structured problem statements, success metrics, delivery roadmaps, and implementation frameworks for new technology solutions.
  • Manage enterprise innovation programs, including the Ascent Program and Strategic Partnerships, ensuring disciplined governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee due diligence and evaluation of prospective partners and portfolio companies, with a strong focus on technical feasibility, implementation complexity, scalability, and operational integration.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across engineering, legal, risk, compliance, procurement, and business leadership to drive timely execution in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor pilot performance, adoption metrics, ROI, and strategic impact.
  • Translate technical findings and project outcomes into executive-ready materials and quarterly updates for senior leadership.
  • Contribute to external ecosystem engagement by representing BNY in discussions with venture capital firms, founders, and technology partners, with a practical focus on implementation and commercialization readiness.


To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product management, program management, project management, or innovation delivery roles, preferably within financial services, fintech, or technology-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading implementation of emerging technologies from pilot to scaled deployment.
  • Strong ability to quickly understand technical architectures, APIs, data models, and product capabilities - and convert that understanding into structured execution plans.
  • Experience working in development environments or alongside engineering teams, with fluency in agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with disciplined tracking of scope, timeline, risks, and budget.
  • Experience evaluating fintech or technology vendors, startups, or strategic investments, including technical and operational diligence.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize technical, financial, and operational information into clear recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across a matrixed organization.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated passion for emerging technologies and continuous learning.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
