What is the opportunity?

The role incumbent will be a senior negotiator of various master trading agreements.

What will you do?
  • Negotiates various industry-standard and, with the Law Group, non-standard master trading agreements, including complex and/or structured trading agreements and ancillary documents.
  • Negotiates and reviews regulation-driven documentation, particularly VM and IM agreements.
  • Coordinates, in conjunction with the Law Group and other team members, changes and updates to RBC master agreement templates and the management of these templates
  • Ensures compliance with RBC policy documents ("Standing Orders") for all trading documentation.
  • Ensures appropriate internal systems are updated accordingly.
  • Assists Regional Head as required in project and other management.


What do you need to succeed?

Must have's:
  • Proven master agreement negotiation experience (5-10 years).
  • Extensive knowledge of Capital Markets products & the trading environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry-standard master agreements (ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, etc) and various counterparty types (FI's, corporates, funds, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle significant and diverse workload.
  • Adaptable and committed to continuous learning.


Nice-to-have's:
  • Familiarity with facility agreements and/or facility-linked swap documentation advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience negotiating FBF and/or Deutsche Rahmenvertrag advantageous but not essential.
  • Legal qualifications/experience.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:
$115,000.00 - $165,000.00
