Job Description

As the Vice President, Trading, you will lead a team in the strategic management of engine, module, and used serviceable material (USM) across the asset lifecycle. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that maximize asset utilization, profitability, customer value, and return on invested capital while supporting Commercial Engine Services' growth objectives. This role partners across Sales & Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Customer Support-Engineering & Technical to optimize asset deployment, drive exchange and leasing strategies, improve working capital, and ensure successful service delivery across the engine asset portfolio

What you'll do:
  • Leads the development and execution of strategic asset management initiatives for the CFM56 portfolio, optimizing engine, module, and USM assets throughout their lifecycle to maximize financial performance and customer value. Partners cross-functionally to identify investment opportunities, enhance portfolio utilization, and support the long-term growth strategy of Commercial Engine Services.
  • Develop and execute engine exchange strategies that enhance customer responsiveness while optimizing asset utilization. Lead engine acquisitions, exchanges, sales, and origination activities, including evaluating opportunities and developing investment recommendations supported by financial and operational analysis. Partner with Commercial Sales teams to negotiate strategic engine transactions and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Direct CFM56 engine, module, and component origination activities. Accountable for the valuation of acquired assets, and ensuring all opportunities are assessed with responses to lead time. Develop monetization strategies across repair, exchange, lease, teardown, and part-out pathways. Lead appraisal support for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and investment decisions, ensuring accurate assessment of asset value. Optimize residual value and lifecycle profitability across the portfolio to maximize overall returns.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Customer Support-Engineering & technical teams to align asset deployment, service delivery, and logistics strategies with customer demand and market requirements.
  • Build and lead a high-performing trading organization, driving cross-functional execution, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making across the value stream.

What skills you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in aerospace asset management, CFM56 product knowledge, commercial aviation, MRO, engine leasing, supply chain, or related industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing professional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with engine acquisitions, exchanges, valuation, leasing, or asset portfolio management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong financial acumen including business case development, capital investment analysis, and profitability management.
  • Up to 50% travel required (international & domestic).
