Job Description:

The VP, Technology Operations & Security is a cornerstone executive leadership role responsible for the integrity, performance, and modernization of Cambria’s technical ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this leader serves as a foundational member of the AI Transformation Office (AITO) and the Technology Leadership team.

This role leads the Cyber Security and IT Infrastructure & Operations teams, acting as the primary architect and manager of our critical systems infrastructure - the secure, high-performance environment required for Cambria’s digital teammates and agentic practices to scale. The position requires a leader with exceptional executive maturity and poise, capable of providing clear-headed, objective guidance during critical operational events. You will bridge the mandate to Protect the Business (Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure) with the strategic mission to Transform the Business (AI Substrate and Footprint Simplification), ensuring stability and security remain paramount during periods of rapid digital acceleration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership & AITO Strategy

  • AITO Foundational Member: Serve as a key executive stakeholder in the AI Transformation Office, ensuring all AI and agentic initiatives are built on a secure, governed, and performant substrate.

  • Partnership Management: Act as a critical strategic partner to the Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Unified Product Engineering, and Data Intelligence teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.

  • Executive Poise: Interact directly with the C-Suite and Board-level leaders, demonstrating the ability to communicate complex technical risks and recovery efforts with transparency and composure under scrutiny.

  • Change Management: Lead the organizational shift toward a unified technical team (merging GTM and Core IT teams) and promoting a "Digital Teammate" culture.

Cybersecurity & Enterprise Risk

  • Head of Global Security: Serve as the ultimate authority on enterprise risk management, threat intelligence, and global Security Operations Center (SOC) performance.

  • 4-Ring Security Architecture: Own and govern the 4-Ring security architecture that protects Cambria’s proprietary data and models, establishing the enterprise standard for safe AI enablement.

  • Resilient Defense: Maintain a posture of "Security by Design," balancing the high-velocity requirements of AI innovation with a proactive and robust defense strategy.

Infrastructure & Operations Leadership

  • Team Oversight: Lead and mentor a diverse IT Operations organization, including Cybersecurity, Service Desk/Help Desk, Systems & Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Network Engineering, and Executive Support.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure 99.9% availability for manufacturing-critical systems, holding the team accountable to rigorous service levels.

  • Incident Command: Act as the ultimate escalation point for critical infrastructure or security crises, leading "War Rooms" and providing objective communications to executive leadership.

  • Technical Modernization: Oversee the lifecycle of global compute, storage, and networking (Nutanix, AWS, VMware) while transitioning the org toward a modernized, automated substrate.

  • Footprint Simplification: Drive "ruthless prioritization" to eliminate redundant legacy systems and administrative churn while simplifying the technology footprint to reduce tech debt.

  • Direct the comprehensive financial planning for IT Operations, including annual budget development, quarterly forecasting, and strict expense control.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven executive maturity, with the ability to remain objective and steadfast during high-pressure outages or security threats while maintaining a focus on long-term stability.

  • Demonstrated success acting as a partner to peer executives in Product Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Data Science, and Digital Transformation.

  • Extensive experience managing hybrid-cloud architectures (e.g., Nutanix, AWS, VMware) and driving successful technology footprint simplification strategies.

  • Proven experience managing data centers and cloud instances to consistently meet and exceed SLAs.

  • Skilled in strategic vendor management (system, network, telecom, software, cloud) ensuring strong partnerships and cost-effective service delivery.

  • Demonstrated success hiring and mentoring System and Network Engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence through automation and continuous improvement.

  • Experience managing WAN, Wireless, Firewall, VPN, Proxy, and Intrusion Prevention.

  • Deep technical mastery of modern security frameworks.

  • Thorough understanding of the security challenges, governance requirements, and data protection protocols inherent in Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI.
