Position Overview

Navistar Financial Corporation currently has an opportunity for aVice President, Risk, Operations & Exportbased at our headquarters in Lisle, Illinois.

The Vice President, Risk, Operations & Export will be responsible for integrating and overseeing enterprise underwriting, credit risk management, operations, and export programs to support InternationalFinancials'*strategic objectives, growth priorities, and risk appetite.

This role provides leadership across multiple business segments, ensuring effective execution of underwriting standards, operational excellence, portfolio performance, regulatory compliance, and client service delivery.

The VP establishes and governs enterprise-wide policies, processes, controls, and performance frameworks that drive disciplined decision-making, operational efficiency, and sustainable business outcomes. Working closely with executive leadership, the incumbent leads cross-functional initiatives, optimizes organizational performance, and ensures the effective management of credit and operational risks while supporting domestic and international business growth.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Risk & Underwriting Leadership

  • Lead the development, implementation, and governance of enterprise underwriting and credit risk strategies aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Establish underwriting policies, approval authorities, risk frameworks, and portfolio management practices.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in credit decision-making across business units and customer segments.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk concentrations, and emerging trends, proactively recommending risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive oversight of complex credit transactions and key customer relationships.

Operations Leadership

  • Direct operational strategies and execution to ensure efficient, scalable, and client-focused business processes.
  • Establish operational performance metrics, service standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive process optimization, workflow modernization, and operational excellence programs.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, governance practices, and regulatory compliance across operational functions.
  • Lead initiatives that improve productivity, service delivery, and organizational effectiveness.

Export Program Management

  • Oversee the development and execution of export financing and international business programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable export regulations, trade policies, and government requirements.

  • Evaluate cross-border risks and establish appropriate controls to support sustainable expansion.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 16 years equipment financing, financial services, including 8 years management experience
