Full Job Description
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Project Manager - US Tax Productto join our Enterprise Custody Services - Tax team. This role is located in New York City, NY.. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: • Product Development: Lead the product development for our eW9/eW8 Hub which includes requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. • Product Strategy: Develop, communicate and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives • Manage and oversee end-to-end project management activities such as project planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of medium to high complexity. • Technical experience with APIs, Kafka messaging and its impact on tax onboarding and tax withholding on U.S. domestic payments • People Leadership: Ability to work with and provide guidance to colleagues within and across PODs • Strong understanding of clients' needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experience as well as staying on top of the latest technological trends and innovations in financial services. • Collaborate with business stakeholders including US Tax Product, Tax, Tax Operations, Technology, Relationship Managers to understand and document current and future state of tax functions/processes. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: • 7 plus years of relevant experience within financial services • Experience operating within a complex, highly regulated environment with a strong grasp of compliance and operational risk frameworks • A good understanding of Tax Information Reporting and Withholding (e.g., 1446f, FATCA, NRA, BUW, 8966 Reporting) • Proficient in IRS Tax forms, due diligence, and various tax onboarding, withholding reporting requirements • Experience with the agile development process to ensure change requests are managed into backlogs and delivered quickly with the precise end to end testing • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate business and technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform business and product decisions. • Experience working with Technology and third-party developers. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Prince2 certification Our Benefits and Rewards: BNY offers highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs rooted in a strong culture of excellence and our pay-for-performance philosophy. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $183,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
