Job Description

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Private Banking to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Philadelphia, PA.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Independently develop and execute the strategic plan for managing and growing client banking relationships, with a focus on revenue growth and client retention.
  • Consult with clients to understand their strategic objectives and recommend solutions that align with both short- and long-term goals.
  • Partner with line of business colleagues to broaden client relationships and drive account growth through BNY's services and product offerings.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and client advocate, resolving complex client issues and acting as the escalation point for client satisfaction when needed.
  • Manage a portfolio of moderate- to large-sized clients with increased complexity and responsibility for achieving organic growth and revenue targets.
  • Conduct frequent client check-ins, service reviews, and relationship reviews to maintain engagement and ensure continued alignment with client needs.
  • Research and resolve client issues, track relationship strategy and results, and contribute to team metrics, dashboards, and roadmaps.
  • Work across internal teams, including marketing, legal, compliance, and client service, to ensure client needs are addressed and onboarding and risk management activities are completed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments by attending industry events and conferences.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced private bankers as needed and contribute to broader relationship management strategies for the team.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
  • Formal credit training program completion, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Financial services experience with a specific client type or banking product required, along with knowledge of credit policies and underwriting procedures.
  • Prior experience in relationship management, client services, or account management required.
  • Specialized knowledge of complex lending products and strong understanding of client banking needs.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications, including Series 7 and 63 where required by the business.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents.
