Full Job Description
Vice President, Professional Services

The Vice President, Professional Services is accountable for the performance, scalability, and client impact of Evisions' Professional Services organization. This leader owns the Services business end to end translating strong demand and a growing project portfolio into predictable delivery, revenue, healthy utilization, and excellent client outcomes. The role requires a hands-on operating leader who can set clear priorities, build disciplined delivery practices, develop a highly capable team, and make fast decisions as client and business needs evolve. Success is measured by Services revenue attainment, utilization and capacity, backlog conversion, project health, client satisfaction, and the team's ability to execute consistently without adding unnecessary management layers.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Own the Professional Services business and operating plan including revenue attainment, utilization, capacity, backlog conversion, delivery quality, and client outcomes against clear goals and forecasts
  • Scale the business by growing the existing team through a critical period of high growth, where projects can be variable and customized to each institution, expanding capacity without eroding utilization or margin as demand grows
  • Set a higher standard for project management and technical delivery, with clear expectations for scoping, status reporting, risk management, and client communication that hold up under a heavy project load
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for Evisions' most important or complex Services engagements, stepping in early when scope, timeline, technical complexity, or client alignment puts an outcome at risk, shrinking both the frequency and duration of escalations over time
  • Develop and deploy the team's technical expertise effectively by ensuring senior resources provide architecture, problem-solving, and direction across key projects while developing the capabilities and independence of other consultants and developers, building bench strength so fewer projects require senior escalation
  • Partner closely with Sales on scoping, solution design, pricing, and handoff, improving the quality of what Evisions sells and ensuring delivery commitments are achievable, well-defined, and staffed appropriately, reducing margin erosion from under scoped deals and change orders after signing
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Support, Client Success, and Finance, removing delivery blockers, improving handoffs, and using Services insights to strengthen the broader client experience and product strategy
  • Use data and AI-enabled tools to improve forecasting, project visibility, resource planning, and operating leverage by automating administrative work where possible while keeping leadership focused on decisions, coaching, and client outcomes

About You
  • 10+ years of experience in Professional Services, consulting, enterprise software implementation, or a comparable client delivery organization, including meaningful leadership responsibility. B2B SaaS or higher education technology experience is a strong plus
  • Proven experience leading and improving a Services organization with accountability for revenue, utilization, capacity, project delivery, and client outcomes, with an understanding of both the financial and operational mechanics of the business
  • A hands-on operating mindset, with comfort moving between portfolio strategy, staffing decisions, client escalations, project details, and team coaching without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Strong command of project and portfolio management, with the ability to create enough process and visibility to drive predictable execution without burying a delivery team in administration
  • Experience leading technical services teams and complex software implementations, with the ability to ask the right questions, recognize delivery risk, and help translate technical complexity into clear decisions and client expectations
  • Strong people leadership and talent development skills. You set a high bar, give direct feedback, develop future leaders, and create an environment where capable people are trusted to own outcomes
  • Commercial and financial fluency, including comfort with Services revenue forecasting, utilization, margins, backlog, pricing, scope management, and the trade-offs involved in scaling a Services business
  • Executive presence and strong client judgment. You can build credibility with senior client stakeholders, navigate difficult conversations, and bring calm, clear accountability to high-stakes situations
  • Comfortable leading through change and using AI and modern operating tools to improve how Services teams plan, communicate, forecast, and deliver

This position will report to a member of Evisions' Executive Leadership Team.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

Some travel may be required for on-site client engagements and company events, including but not limited to annual kickoffs, team offsites, and client-facing engagements.
