JOB DESCRIPTION

Shape the future of our customer experiences and directly influence product success. Dive headfirst into dynamic collaborations, leverage data to spark change, and guide customers' trust during crucial onboarding moments.

As a Vice President, Product Owner – Client Onboarding on the Digital Wallets team, you lead clients throughout their onboarding and integration journeys with our payment services. You partner across engineering, operations, risk, and business stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into clear product outcomes, while driving the project management discipline that keeps initiatives on track. We rely on your ability to navigate ambiguity, align diverse teams, and deliver — because the work we do here has real consequences for real customers.

Job responsibilities

  • Identify and refine product requirements for API-enabled payments features, translating business needs into clear, actionable specifications for engineering partners.
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap for assigned workstreams, ensuring priorities reflect customer impact, risk posture, and business value.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across technology, operations, compliance, and business functions, facilitating alignment on scope, timelines, and trade-offs.
  • Establish and execute project management cadences — including status reporting, dependency tracking, and milestone governance — to keep client onboarding moving with accountability.
  • Synthesize data, user research, and market signals to identify product gaps and recommend solutions backed by quantitative and qualitative evidence.
  • Partner with technology teams to evaluate modern API architecture decisions, ensuring product design supports scalability, security, and interoperability.
  • Facilitate working sessions, steering committees, and executive briefings, producing clear materials that communicate progress and surface decisions effectively.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and payment transaction indicators post-launch, identifying optimization opportunities and escalating risks proactively.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and championing tooling or workflow enhancements that accelerate product delivery.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7 years of experience in product management, with demonstrated ownership of a product roadmap from ideation through delivery.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders across technology, business, and operations functions without direct authority.
  • Working knowledge of modern API architecture concepts, including REST, webhooks, and API gateway patterns, sufficient to engage credibly with engineering teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to run multiple concurrent workstreams, track dependencies, and maintain governance standards.
  • Experience producing executive-level written communications, presentation materials, and program status reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate alignment in cross-functional forums and large group settings.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in the payments industry, including familiarity with payment rails, settlement processes, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
  • Exposure to program or portfolio management frameworks, including agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with product roadmapping or business intelligence tools such as Jira.
  • Prior experience at a financial institution, fintech, or payments network in a product or strategy capacity.
