Job DescriptionThis is a Remote First position which can be performed from most locations in the US.Vice President, Product Engineering - AI & Platform EngineeringLocation: Remote, United StatesThe RoleMajesco is looking for an exceptional engineering leader to help architect the future of AI-native product engineering and advance our Agentic Operating Model (AOM), our strategic shift toward an AI-native software development operating model.
This is not a maintenance role. The person in this seat will help define how software gets built at Majesco for the next decade.
As Vice President of Product Engineering, you will play a leading role in shaping the engineering architecture, practices, and capabilities behind this transformation. You will also lead product engineering for V3locity, an important platform within Majesco's broader product portfolio, while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and business leadership to connect product vision with engineering execution.
You will play a critical role in advancing how Majesco applies agentic AI, generative AI, and modern engineering practices to improve software development, quality, and delivery-and in turning successful approaches into reusable capabilities that can scale across products and teams.
What This Role OwnsAgentic Operating Model (AOM)AOM is a key part of Majesco's engineering transformation. The core thesis: people provide context, judgment, and oversight; AI agents accelerate execution; and trusted, reusable knowledge makes the system more effective over time.
The Vice President of Product Engineering will help architect and advance the engineering application of this model across product engineering.
- Architect and evolve the technical foundations required to support an enterprise-grade, AI-native software development environment.
- Advance AOM across product engineering, using agentic AI to improve engineering productivity, quality, and speed.
- Establish the trusted knowledge and context infrastructure that allows AI agents to operate accurately, securely, and consistently.
- Build the engineering practices required to maintain high-quality context, prevent drift, and continuously improve AI-assisted development.
- Establish strong governance for enterprise AI usage, including security, model access, quality, cost, and performance.
- Expand AI-enabled workflows across the software lifecycle and improve how context moves across product, engineering, services, sales, and support.
- Partner with engineering leaders across Majesco to develop reusable patterns that can scale across products and teams.
- Guide the development and adoption of AI agents and reusable engineering capabilities across implementation, configuration, quality assurance, automation, evaluation, and product development.
- Make AI-native development intuitive and practical by connecting technical capabilities to clear business and product outcomes.
- Help define and mature an agentic development lifecycle that evolves traditional software development practices for an AI-native environment.
Product & Platform Engineering - Lead product engineering across a complex enterprise SaaS platform, balancing product enhancement, platform modernization, and ongoing product health.
- Drive platform stability, release quality, scalability, and technical debt reduction while accelerating delivery through AI-enabled engineering.
- Partner with Product Management to tightly connect engineering execution with customer needs, product capabilities, and roadmap commitments.
- Shape the engineering AI toolchain and governance model, including agentic coding platforms, model routing, development standards, and ROI measurement.
- Establish measurable engineering outcomes across productivity, quality, reliability, and speed.
- Translate successful AI-native engineering approaches into reusable patterns and capabilities that can scale across Majesco.
People & Organization Leadership - Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization.
- Develop senior engineering leaders and create clear accountability for delivery, quality, AI adoption, and engineering performance.
- Build an operating environment in which AI amplifies engineering talent rather than simply adding another layer of tooling.
- Drive strong collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Services to improve implementation patterns, product quality, and customer outcomes.
What You Bring - 10+ years of software engineering leadership experience, including significant experience leading complex engineering organizations at the Director or Vice President level.
- Experience building or operating AI-native, generative AI, or agentic software development systems-not simply adopting individual AI tools, but redesigning engineering workflows around them.
- Deep understanding of modern LLM and AI engineering infrastructure, including context engineering, model governance, evaluation, routing, observability, security, and quality assurance.
- Proven success leading complex platform engineering in a SaaS environment.
- Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams, including teams operating across the United States and India.
- Strong command of modern software engineering environments, including agentic coding platforms, product and engineering management tools, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and structured documentation systems.
- A track record of improving engineering productivity and delivery while maintaining high standards for platform quality, security, and reliability.
- Experience in insurance technology, financial services, or another regulated industry is a plus; demonstrated AI-native engineering leadership is more important than industry background.
What Sets the Right Candidate Apart - You have helped build an agentic or AI-native software development environment-not just prototyped one. You know the difference between a compelling demo and a governed production system.
- You think in compounding systems. You design knowledge and context so that each interaction improves what comes next, rather than simply completing the current task.
- You bring architectural discipline to knowledge and documentation. You understand that AI systems depend on accurate, structured, governed context.
- You have led teams through significant engineering operating-model transitions and know how to balance governance with speed.
- You can translate AI capability into measurable engineering and business outcomes.
- You communicate with the precision of an engineer and the commercial instinct of a product leader. You can move seamlessly between deep technical discussions and executive-level decisions.
Why This Matters - Majesco is advancing how enterprise software gets built.
- This leader will have the opportunity to serve as a key architect of that evolution-shaping an AI-native engineering model within a complex enterprise SaaS environment and turning successful patterns into scalable engineering capabilities across Majesco.
- The opportunity goes beyond adopting AI tools. It is about redesigning how engineering teams use knowledge, automation, AI agents, and human judgment to build high-quality software faster and more effectively.
- For an engineering leader who wants to help define the next generation of enterprise software development-and build the operating model behind it-this is a rare opportunity.
As a member of a rapidly growing and dynamic organization, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities as business needs evolve. The company reserves the right to vary, change, or update job duties and responsibilities based on business requirements. This role may require shifting priorities, learning new technologies, and contributing to projects outside of the initial scope.
