Job Description Summary:Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Vice President, People Business Partners (VP, PBPs) will lead Rocket Software's global PBP team, establishing the vision, standards, and operating model for strategic people partnership across the business. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the role will own the talent agenda that enables Rocket to achieve its business objectives, ensuring the company has the right talent, in the right place, at the right cost to drive long-term success.
The VP, PBPs will elevate PBPs to operate as workforce architects, leveraging business strategy, workforce analytics, and external market insights to shape organizational design, anticipate future capability needs, and guide decisions about how, where, and at what cost work is performed. This leader will translate enterprise people strategy into scalable talent and organizational solutions that strengthen leadership effectiveness, accelerate performance, enhance employee engagement, and support organizational agility in a rapidly evolving environment.
Working closely with leaders across the People Team and the business, the Vice President will drive consistent people practices globally, strengthen change readiness, and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture. The Vice President will set the standard for strategic business partnership by combining sound judgment, data-driven decision-making, and innovative thinking to deliver meaningful people and business outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the People Business Partner team, strengthening their ability to serve as proactive, strategic advisors and model clarity, empathy, trust, and accountability.
- Build trusted relationships with executive leaders and align people priorities, programs, and investments with Rocket's business strategy.
- Partner with People Team COEs and business leaders to shape and deliver scalable people strategies, policies, and programs that support Rocket's growth and transformation.
- Advise and coach senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, leadership development, performance, employee engagement, capability building, and complex people matters.
- Lead business level workforce planning and organizational design in partnership with business and Finance leaders, translating strategy into integrated plans for skills and capabilities, organizational structures, location and workforce footprint, and cost.
- Provide counsel to business leaders and drive decisions that strengthen accountability, enable high performance, and deliver measurable workforce and talent outcomes.
- Champion fresh ideas and lead initiatives that strengthen Rocket's ability to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent while improving the employee experience.
- Use people and business data, external insights, and sound judgment to identify trends, influence decisions, and balance client-group priorities with what is best for Rocket overall.
- Design and facilitate effective working sessions that help leaders build alignment, make clear decisions, and move to action.
- Continuously improve People Team service delivery by anticipating business needs, simplifying how work gets done, and building collaborative relationships across the organization.
Required Qualifications:- 15+ years of progressive People experience, including broad experience as a strategic People Business Partner.
- 10+ years of senior or executive leadership experience, including responsibility for leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Deep organizational development experience gained through People Business Partner roles, a center of excellence, or both.
- Demonstrated success designing and leading enterprise change initiatives.
- Experience developing and delivering team and organizational effectiveness programs.
- Ability to influence, challenge, and build alignment across all levels of an organization.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong program and project leadership skills, with the ability to move from strategy to execution.
- Experience working in a global, complex, and evolving organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integration.
- Experience in enterprise software or another global technology environment.

Annual salary range for this position is between $197,500.00 - $276,500.00 gross before taxes.
