Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Digitalization Manager to drive enterprise transformation initiatives across Global Operations functions. Partnering closely with senior business leaders, the Transformation and Strategic Change Team (TASC), Technology, Compliance, Legal, and PIMCO's AI organization, this individual will identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities where AI can enhance client experience, strengthen operational controls, reduce risk, increase scalability, and drive productivity. The successful candidate will develop transformation roadmaps and lead the implementation of AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business value.

The Operations Digitalization Manager will bring a demonstrated track record of translating complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions through a combination of AI, automation, process redesign, and technology enablement. They will have experience leading initiatives from strategy and prioritization through execution, adoption, and value realization, with a focus on delivering meaningful operational and client outcomes.

This role requires a unique blend of operational expertise, transformation leadership, technology fluency, executive presence, and change management capabilities. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Enterprise AI Transformation

  • Lead end-to-end AI transformation initiatives across Global Operations and other business functions, partnering closely with the TASC team and other key stakeholders to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value business opportunities where AI can improve client experience, reduce operational risk, increase scalability, and drive productivity.
  • Develop transformation roadmaps that integrate people, process, data, technology, and governance considerations.
  • Design future-state operating models that combine human expertise with automation and AI agents.

AI Strategy & Solution Delivery

  • Translate business challenges into practical AI, automation workflow solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, risk management, and client experience.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and adoption of GenAI, agentic AI, predictive analytics, workflow automation, and orchestration capabilities.
  • Partner with Technology teams to build scalable, secure, and enterprise-ready solutions.
  • Establish frameworks for prioritization, experimentation, value realization, and AI adoption.

Business Process Transformation

  • Conduct process assessments and identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and digitalization.
  • Redesign workflows to optimize handoffs, controls, user experiences, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive implementation of intelligent process orchestration platforms, workflow technologies, and AI-enabled operating models.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and transform high-impact operational workflows, including opportunities across client servicing, onboarding, reporting, reconciliations, document-intensive processes, and other core operational functions.

Change Leadership & Executive Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on AI strategy, operational transformation, and organizational change.
  • Influence and align senior stakeholders around transformation priorities, investment decisions, and adoption strategies.
  • Drive organizational adoption through effective stakeholder management, communication, and change management.
  • Build business cases and executive-level presentations that clearly articulate value, risks, investment requirements, and expected outcomes.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Mentor and coach team members across AI, analytics, process engineering, and transformation disciplines.
  • Establish best practices for AI governance, transformation delivery, experimentation, and outcome measurement.
  • Promote responsible AI adoption by establishing governance, risk management, and controls that support sustainable business outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience leading business transformation, digitalization, AI, automation, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success delivering measurable business outcomes through AI-enabled transformation programs.
  • Experience working across multiple dimensions of transformation, including operating model design, process reengineering, data strategy, technology implementation, and organizational change.
  • Experience identifying, developing, or implementing AI-enabled solutions within operational, servicing, onboarding, reporting, reconciliation, or other workflow-driven environments.

Artificial Intelligence & Technology

  • Strong practical experience leading the implementation of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, workflow orchestration, and intelligent automation solutions within enterprise environments.
  • Experience designing, deploying, or scaling AI solutions within large enterprises.
  • Working knowledge of data engineering, machine learning, cloud technologies, APIs, and modern AI architectures.
  • Proficiency in Python and AI development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, model risk, data privacy, and responsible AI principles.

Business & Leadership

  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, controls, risk management, and enterprise operating models.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and sustain strong relationships with varying stakeholders through sound judgment, discretion, and consistent integrity. 
  • Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to align and lead cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed environments.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree is preferred in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related discipline.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Salary Range: $ 150,000.00 - $ 225,000.00
