The Opportunity
Avahi is hiring its first Vice President of Sales - a pivotal, build-the-function moment. You will own the full revenue engine: strategy, pipeline, team, and quota. Reporting directly to the CRO, you will work alongside the CRO, CTO, and CFO to define go-to-market motion, land and expand enterprise accounts, and build a high-performance sales organization that scales with Avahi's ambitions in the AWS and AI/ML ecosystem.
What You'll Own
Revenue Strategy & Execution
- Set and own annual and quarterly revenue targets in partnership with the CEO and CFO
- Define Avahi's GTM strategy across verticals, segments, and geographies
- Build and refine a repeatable, metrics-driven sales process from top-of-funnel through close
- Establish pricing, packaging, and deal structuring standards for cloud and AI/ML engagements
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, onboard, and develop a world-class sales team
- Create a coaching culture with structured ramp, enablement, and performance management programs
- Partner with HR to design compensation plans, career ladders, and quota frameworks that attract and retain top talent
Pipeline & Partnerships
- Manage and grow Avahi's AWS partnership - including co-sell motions, Marketplace listings, and Partner Funding programs
- Develop strategic alliances with ISVs, system integrators, and channel partners to expand reach
- Drive pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy in CRM (HubSpot); deliver reliable commit to the executive team
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with CTO and Presales to ensure seamless handoffs and strong client satisfaction
- Collaborate with marketing on demand generation, content, and events strategy
- Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic accounts and key deals
What We're Looking For
Required
- 8+ years of B2B technology sales experience, including 3+ years in a senior sales leadership role (VP, Director, or Head of Sales)
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams and exceeding revenue targets in a professional services or consulting environment
- Deep familiarity with the AWS ecosystem - co-sell, Marketplace, Partner Network, and cloud-native buyer personas
- Experience selling AI/ML, data, or cloud transformation services to mid-market and enterprise clients
- Exceptional executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships at the C-suite level
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote-first, distributed, high-growth environment
