JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Aftersales, North America, will be responsible for parts and service functions across the United States and Canada. This comprehensive portfolio includes charging program solutions, parts and accessory planning, parts supply chain management, process improvement, service retention, customer experience, product quality and support, technical training, warranty, and customer relations, to support the achievement of overall VinFast North American aftersales objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:
  • Responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing a strategic service network across North America, utilizing an innovative market study approach to determine the optimal service center count and locations within any given US and Canadian market.
  • Oversee customer service operations, technical services operations, vehicle quality and engineering, parts logistics, and warranties of electric vehicles across the North American region.
  • Leadership of end-to-end vehicle recharging strategy, including logistics, home, public, fleet, and branded VinFast network development across the US and Canada.
  • Recruitment, leadership, direction, and management of the regional aftersales and service teams.
  • Development and execution of market readiness plans to ensure smooth VinFast product launches and sustained operations across North American markets.
  • Establishment of service center and mobile service strategies, including design, tooling, standards, visual management, and staffing tailored to regional requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with North American customers to encourage repeat and referral business while upholding localized high-quality standards.

  • Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty policies, as well as distinct US and Canadian automotive and consumer protection procedures.
  • Ongoing interaction and communication with the VinFast North America and Vietnam Global Aftersales teams to collaborate on various operational activities, goals, and objectives.
  • Establish and develop relationships with senior global management (Vietnam/Europe/North America), internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Management and forecasting of the North American budget involved with all aftersales operations, ensuring proper capital flows to fund the business's key strategic initiatives.
  • Provide consultative guidance and insights into the North American automotive market, including market entry strategies, market dynamics, competitive landscape analysis, and major/minor player benchmarking.
  • Establish and develop relationships with relevant government officials, regulatory bodies, and external partners regarding EV aftersales services, safety protocols, and compliance.

Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Master's Degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Thorough, comprehensive knowledge and understanding of automotive aftersales operations, parts logistics, and EV ecosystems in North America.
  • 15+ years of hands-on OEM professional-level experience, which must include parts planning, warranty, customer service, and automotive marketing.
  • 10+ years of people/team management experience, including director or manager-level positions overseeing multi-region or cross-border teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of US and Canadian governmental policies, regulations, safety protocols/standards, and vehicle homologation (e.g., NHTSA, EPA, Transport Canada, GAC).
  • Proven experience building cross-functional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Comprehensive computer skills and working knowledge of systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, parts inventory management software, and retail inventory systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and influencing distributed teams to achieve cross-border corporate objectives.
  • May require up to 35% travel across the US, Canada, and international corporate headquarters.
