Full Job Description
Role Overview:

The VP / General Manager, Residential MDU leads Dobson Fiber's dedicated Multi-Dwelling Unit business unit and is the single leader accountable for its growth and operations across the Oklahoma footprint. This role owns the full motion, from securing property access and bulk agreements through activation and sustained customer penetration, and is responsible for building and leading the team that delivers it. The ideal candidate combines general-management or P&L leadership experience with a track record of winning access or bulk agreements and driving results in a fast-growing, cross-functional environment.

Business Ownership & Strategy
  • Own the strategy, annual operating plan, and results for the Residential MDU business unit.
  • Carry accountability for access and bulk-agreement acquisition, MDU revenue, and customer penetration.
  • Own P&L discipline: build-cost and ROI decisions, capital planning, and the reporting cadence that keeps the plan on track.
  • Deliver the combined three-year plan across current and expanded markets.

Sales & Agreement Acquisition
  • Secure right-of-entry and access agreements with property owners and property management.
  • Negotiate and close term agreements for bulk and managed-WiFi products.
  • Streamline the property deal process to shorten the path from first contact to a ready-for-service property.

Customer Penetration & Community Engagement
  • Stand up and lead the community-engagement model, including dedicated Community Account Reps, to sustain a sales presence at properties.
  • Drive unit-level take rate and penetration across secured properties, particularly in non-bulk buildings.
  • Foster collaboration between property staff and Dobson Fiber to support ongoing customer growth.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Build, lead, and develop the MDU team: Sales Director, Sales Operations Manager, Community Accounts Manager, Sales Engineer, and Project Manager.
  • Coordinate matrixed Construction and Marketing resources against MDU priorities and drive accountability to firm deliverable dates.
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold the unit accountable to KPIs for agreements, secured units, revenue, penetration, and ready-for-service delivery.
  • Represent Dobson Fiber with property owners, managers, and apartment-industry partners as the face of the MDU business.

Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in telecom, ISP, MDU/multifamily, real estate services, or a comparable B2B2C business, ideally with P&L or general-management responsibility.
  • Track record of winning access or bulk agreements, or of selling into property owners, REITs, and property-management companies.
  • Experience building and leading cross-functional teams spanning sales, operations, and delivery.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen; comfortable owning revenue, build costs, ROI models, and growth plans.
  • Knowledge of the Oklahoma multifamily market is a plus.
