Full Job Description
This position can be based in Jacksonville, Florida (USA), London (UK), Dublin (Ireland), or Hyderabad (India). Candidates must have the legal right to work in the country where they are applying.

The Role:

The Vice President, Finance Systems (Revenue and Expense Process & AI) is responsible for the technology, operations and strategy for the ERP platforms that underpin our Global Business. This role leads cross-functional teams to modernise and simplify these processes including how we align all our Global markets onto a unified set of platform and standardized processes. This will be a transformative role which is responsible for the simplification of end-to-end processes and introducing new technologies to improve efficiency, scalability and control across the organization. This role will be heavily focused on the Workday platform and must be expert in the utilisation of Workday as it will serve as the primary point of contact & leadership within D&B.

Alongside this, the professional should be a champion for AI innovation and adoption within the Finance department, partnering with the Finance team on opportunities for where advances in AI could be utilised. This will require the candidate to develop an AI strategy for Finance along with a pragmatic adoption process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads Financial systems team, accountable for systems operations, maintenance, reporting and integration - the primary focus is the ERP platforms including Workday. Also leads Financial systems strategy, operating model design and implementation support. Leads, partners and works with external consultants on significant enterprise-wide projects.
  • Serves as key member of the Finance leadership team, playing a significant role in the implementation, evaluation, optimization and on-going support of Workday Financial ERP system and related systems within the Finance department. Acts as liaison between the Finance and D&B Technology teams.
  • Drives transformation of business processes, the finance operating model, technology, security and data/integrity.
  • Oversees system configuration management and routine updates, partnering with Finance leadership to implement related changes to our platforms and Business processes.
  • Works closely with decision makers across departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective Workday / Financial systems designs and solutions that impact the Finance organization.
  • Develop and maintain high level of knowledge of Workday Financial and Financial systems modules, accounting transactions and accounting flows as necessary to understand the impacts to financial reporting. Leads, drives and refines Workday and Financial systems where needed to support existing and new reporting requirements while maintaining reporting continuity with minimal disruptions.
  • Develop the strategy for AI usage within the Finance department, investigating new technologies and products that could offer advantages to D&B. These should be driven through investigation, trial and adoption. This role is the key for evangelizing the usage and implementation of AI in Finance processes.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Finance System team, fostering a culture of excellence, operational rigor, and continuous improvement
  • Own system stability, change management, incident response, and SOX/audit readiness.
  • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and performance dashboards focused on operational performance, reliability, data quality and process throughput.
  • Manages configuration set-ups in the various Financial systems (Workday Financials, etc.) Project manages Financial systems initiatives (including Workday upgrades), provides for assistance required from other IT/business groups, including follow up and create/monitor test plans to achieve the goals.


Key Requirements:

  • 12 to 15 years of relevant Finance hands-on functional experience. 10+ years' experience leading Finance workstreams, program management and systems transformation implementations.
  • Workday Financials Professional certification
  • A minimum of one full life cycle Workday Financial implementation
  • Proficiency in multiple Finance business processes: Pro Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Asset Management (FA), Budgeting, Cash Management, Purchase Order Conversions, Expense Management and Sales Revenue Accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Other leading Cloud based financial application implementation experience (ie: Oracle, SAP, Lawson)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills
