Full Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the CFO, the VP Finance will lead DISA’s FP&A function, overseeing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, performance analysis, and strategic decision support. This leader will serve as a key partner to the CFO and senior leadership team, translating DISA’s strong financial and operational data into clear insights that influence decision‑making and drive revenue, financial performance, EBITDA, and cash flow.

With DISA having approximately doubled in size over the past several years, the VP Finance will operate with a strong strategic and value‑creation lens. The role will evaluate growth opportunities, challenge business performance, and ensure the company maintains high financial visibility and rigor as it continues to scale and prepares for a potential future transaction.

Essential functions, responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for DISA.
  • Provide clear visibility into business performance, outlook, opportunities, and risks, with emphasis on key revenue, profitability, and operational drivers.
  • Deliver concise, decision‑oriented reporting to the CFO and senior leadership team.
  • Evaluate business cases and growth initiatives using rigorous financial and ROI analysis.
  • Partner with commercial and operational leaders to improve decision‑making and business performance.
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights that strengthen P&L ownership and understanding of key performance drivers.
  • Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to drive incremental revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
  • Apply an owner’s mindset to decisions involving investment, resource allocation, and growth.
  • Serve as a key finance partner to the CFO, supporting strategic priorities and the broader value‑creation plan.
  • Provide financial insight into growth opportunities, product and service performance, and strategic investments.
  • Support Board‑level reporting by clearly communicating performance, outlook, and key business drivers.
  • Maintain transaction‑ready financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support preparation for a potential future exit.
  • Lead and develop a geographically dispersed finance team of approximately 18 people through senior managers and finance leaders.
  • Build a strong, connected culture across a remote team with clear accountability, communication, and collaboration.
  • Evolve the finance function from strong data production and analysis toward best‑in‑class business partnering and decision support.
  • Develop and empower senior team members while maintaining a hands‑on approach and a culture of ownership and follow‑through.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an MBA or relevant professional designation (CPA, CFA) is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive FP&A leadership within fast‑paced, performance‑driven environments, with experience operating in high‑growth or private‑equity‑backed settings.
  • Background in B2B services with operational complexity, multiple products or service lines, and a strong revenue‑growth orientation.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop large finance teams, including managing through senior managers and finance leaders; experience leading geographically dispersed or remote teams is beneficial.
  • Strong P&L ownership with a demonstrated ability to understand and interpret key commercial, operational, and financial drivers of business performance.
  • Exceptional business partnering skills, with experience influencing commercial and operational leaders, challenging assumptions, and driving improved performance.
  • Strategic and commercially minded, with an owner’s mindset and the ability to evaluate growth opportunities, investments, and resource allocation through an ROI and value‑creation lens.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, capable of translating complex financial and operational analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and Board audiences.
  • Experience supporting transactions or M&A, including exit preparation or broader deal activity, is beneficial but not required.

Travel: This role requires regular travel to engage with senior leaders, support business partnering across commercial and operational teams, participate in strategic planning sessions, and maintain strong visibility into DISA’s performance and growth initiatives. Travel is expected to average approximately 25%, with the possibility of increasing based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:
 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Walk (occasionally), sit- up to 8hrs. a day, stand (occasionally), use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, able to lift up to 15lbs.(occasionally).

Job Pay Range

$200,000 - $275,000 Annually (DOE)
