Business Overview: Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) delivers capital-markets, securities-services, financing, treasury and advisory solutions through three core lines: Global Markets, Securities Services and Global Banking. The Global Banking Americas platform is a multi-billion-dollar franchise spanning North and South America, headquartered in NewYork with key hubs in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Montreal and SãoPaulo. The team partners with corporates, financial institutions and governments to structure and fund growth, manage risk and execute strategic transactions across the region.
As an Equity Capital Markets Vice President at BNP Paribas, you will be responsible for the end-to-end origination and execution of equity transactions including IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, private placements, etc. You will work at the intersection of Investment Banking and Global Markets, helping corporate clients and investors navigate the market to optimize capital structure. You'll develop strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients, working across the full spectrum of Equity Capital Markets products.

Responsibilities:- Transaction execution : acting as a primary day-to-day client point of contact and leading management of live deals, coordinating with legal counsel, auditors and other syndicate members to ensure seamless execution from kick off to pricing
- Manage origination efforts : partner with senior bankers and lead junior staff in the development of pitch materials, strategically target clients and build relationships with investors. This includes identifying market windows, thematic trends and monetization opportunities for specific clients
- Financial analysis : oversee the creation of offering sizing, comparable company analysis and precedent equity transactions to support recommendations; ensuring timeliness and quality of work produced by Analysts and Associates
- Market awareness : maintain a high degree of market awareness and, in coordination with senior bankers, identify new business opportunities
- Mentorship : lead and develop Analysts and Associates, ensuring technical accuracy across all deliverables while fostering a collaborative team environmentand providing detailed guidance and feedback
Minimum Required Qualifications:- Experience : typically 5+ years of experience in Investment Banking or Capital Markets (ECM specific experience is preferred)
- Skill set : mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg. Essential to have an understating of Dealogic, Pitchbook, and SEC filings
- Analytical rigor : ability to synthesize complex data sets and glean insights from that data. Strong understanding of financial markets and ability to use data to develop clear and actionable advice for clients
- Culture : high ethical standards and a commitment to fostering a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:- Demonstrated record of academic excellence
- 4+ years of Equity Capital Markets experience; expertise in capital markets and ECM execution
- Strong analytical, finance, quantitative, data management, research, and business writing skills
- Team player, self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability and willingness to guide, train, and develop more junior team members
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of business
- Detail oriented and reliable with ability to work well in a fast paced, team environment
- Strong organization skills, self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently and accurately across multiple ongoing executions and projects

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $250,000 to $275,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
