Position: Vice President - Enterprise Technology & Innovation

Department: Technology

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Status: Full-Time (Exempt)

Position Summary

The Vice President - Enterprise Technology & Innovation sets the direction for the technology function across Panthers, Charlotte FC, and Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) with the goal of safeguarding reliable core services, clear prioritization of business needs, and delivery of technology capabilities that support operations and fan experiences. This role aligns business priorities with technology investments while establishing governance, delivery discipline, and service accountability across the organization. The Vice President - Enterprise Technology & Innovation also represents the technology function with executive leadership, communicating risks, progress, and opportunities, as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Defines the enterprise technology strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to business and venue priorities
  • Understands industry and sector trends, including emerging innovation, tools, platforms, and articulates application to Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE)
  • Leads and develops the technology team into a service-oriented, customer-focused function while owning performance management, service portfolio delivery, budget oversight, and risk.
  • Establishes governance, demand intake, and prioritization processes to create transparency around technology decisions
  • Provides strategic leadership in the creation and support of an overall technology infrastructure plan for Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE), Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, Bank of America Stadium, associated partners, and locations
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of infrastructure, support, security, architecture, product delivery, and business partnership functions
  • Safeguards the reliability of core services, including infrastructure, network, support, and broadcast technology
  • Communicates technology risks, investments, and progress to ownership and executive leadership
  • Drives improvements in vendor management, contract visibility, and service accountability
  • Leads technology transformation efforts, including operating model maturity, AI readiness, and architecture alignment


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology or business-related discipline
  • At least 15 years of progressive technology leadership roles, preferably in a live sports and entertainment organization, with a proven ability to lead large-scale transformational change initiatives that align technology strategy with organizational goals.
  • Proven experience creating a strategic technology direction for businesses, including the development of tactical details while maintaining a clear view of the big picture
  • Supportive servant leadership style
  • Strong understanding of best-in-class mindset
  • Proven ability to maintain strong partnerships and lead cross-functional teams and drive cross-collaboration across diverse business units to achieve enterprise-wide objectives
  • In-depth understanding of aspects of corporate technology, data networking, telephony, and information security, preferably in the sports, entertainment or hospitality industry
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL, or PROSCI certifications would be an asset.
  • Experience with broadcast technologies (e.g., broadcast media, scoring and video boards, press/media distribution, in-house television systems, broadcast & audio cabling systems) would be an asset
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends for events, during critical projects, and during major IT incidents or outages
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must pass pre-employment screens

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting at a desk and computer for long periods of time
  • Periodic physical activity, including bending, standing, reaching, kneeling, and lifting technology equipment and office materials
  • Lifting 50 pounds, working on a ladder, using power tools, and performing other facility maintenance functions related to technology infrastructure
  • Walking throughout the facility, sometimes for an extended period and, at times, in inclement weather


Work Environment
  • Work environment includes offices, stadium facilities, network closets, and event spaces.
