You will lead a team of technical experts responsible for supporting sales growth by working with customers and prospects to address complex business challenges and deliver compelling OpenText solutions.

This role combines technical leadership, sales expertise, and executive engagement. You will help close public sector opportunities in individual markets while also shaping and supporting large, multi-year government deals globally. You will serve as a strategic technical leader, ensuring that OpenText solutions are positioned effectively, technical risks are proactively managed, and teams are aligned to corporate and regional revenue goals.

You will recruit, develop, and lead the WWPS technical organization, ensuring the team has the breadth of consulting, business, market, competitive, and technical expertise required to support sales teams globally. You will establish a high standard of excellence across the organization and ensure technical resources are equipped to position, demonstrate, and communicate the business value of OpenText Enterprise Information Management solutions.

Working closely with the WWPS business development organization, regional Sales leadership, Client Executives, Solutions Consultants, Architecture, Value Engineering, Product Unit teams, Global Services, and partners, you will provide technical and architectural leadership throughout complex sales cycles. You will help develop large-scale government solutions, mitigate technical risks, address product concerns, and ensure complex and often customized solutions deliver value for both customers and OpenText.

As a thought leader within the Solution Consulting organization, you will influence public sector solution strategy, develop customer-specific and sector-specific value propositions, enable partners, and provide executive-level guidance on solution selling and business value.

Success in this role includes:
  • Leading and developing a high-performing worldwide public sector technical organization aligned to corporate and regional revenue goals.
  • Supporting the successful pursuit and closure of large-scale, multi-year government opportunities globally.
  • Ensuring Solution Consultants and technical teams consistently communicate the business value of OpenText solutions.
  • Strengthening technical positioning, solution architecture, competitive differentiation, and risk management across strategic public sector opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships with executive-level customers, Client Executives, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining strong team performance, developing key talent, and addressing performance challenges effectively.
  • Using Salesforce and other data sources to develop ROI metrics, reporting, and insights that support operational and sales management decisions.
  • Serving as a recognized thought leader and subject matter expert for Public Sector within the Solution Consulting organization.
  • Enabling partners and field teams to develop compelling Enterprise Information Management value propositions for customers and specific public sector segments.

OpenText is a global leader in Information Management, helping organizations transform the way they manage, secure, and leverage information.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader across the public sector Solution Consulting community.
  • Enable partners and field organizations to strengthen their solution-selling capabilities and communicate business value effectively.
  • Represent OpenText at company and industry events and engage with customers and partners across global markets.

At OpenText, you will work with innovative technology, world-class sales and technical professionals, and some of the largest public sector organizations in the world. This role provides significant visibility with executive stakeholders and the opportunity to influence strategic growth across a global business.
