What you'll lead and/or demonstrate:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and steward a unified corporate narrative, integrating TELUS' strategy, financial performance, and social purpose into a clear, differentiated story for stakeholders
  • Capital Markets & Financial Communications: Collaborate with Finance and Investor Relations to translate complex financial data into compelling external narratives, strengthening credibility and valuation
  • Government & Public Affairs: Align communications strategies with regulatory priorities, public policy advocacy, and national initiatives such as healthcare innovation and digital infrastructure
  • Issues Management & Crisis Leadership: Lead enterprise-wide crisis communications and issues management, ensuring rapid, transparent responses to protect trust and reputation
  • Performance & Insights: Establish measurement frameworks linking communications outcomes to business impact, leveraging data and analytics for optimization.
  • Digital, Social & Media Strategy: Elevate executive visibility and thought leadership across digital and social platforms while cultivating strategic media relationships to showcase TELUS' leadership in innovation, technology, and sustainability
  • Organizational Transformation: Optimize global communications structures across TELUS business units, championing AI adoption to enhance productivity and efficiency

Great to haves
