About the JobPrimary Purpose:We are seeking a Vice President of Commercial in our Integrated Logistics Solutions and Power Generation team to lead commercial strategy, business development, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This new role will help shape the organization's commercial direction and ensure opportunities are evaluated, negotiated, and executed in alignment with business goals, operational capabilities, and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate is a strategic commercial leader who can build strong customer relationships, identify market opportunities, lead complex negotiations, and work across functions to turn commercial strategy into results.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead commercial strategy, business development, and growth planning for assigned markets, customers, assets, services, or business lines.
- Identify, evaluate, and advance new revenue opportunities, strategic partnerships, customer solutions, and market expansion initiatives within the Integrated Logistics Solutions and Power Generation markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, industry participants, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead or support commercial negotiations, including contracts, amendments, pricing, terms, and long-term agreements.
- Partner with operations, finance, legal, engineering, project management, and executive leadership to evaluate commercial opportunities and execution requirements.
- Develop business cases, economic analyses, deal recommendations, and decision materials for leadership review.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, regulatory considerations, and industry developments that may affect commercial strategy.
- Support growth targets through disciplined commercial planning and execution.
- Establish clear commercial processes, reporting, and performance measures for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and leadership visibility.
- Represent the organization professionally in customer meetings, industry discussions, and strategic negotiations.
Qualifications:- Senior-level experience in commercial leadership, business development, marketing, sales, account management, strategy, finance, operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop commercial strategy, grow customer relationships, negotiate complex agreements, and deliver business results.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including experience evaluating revenue opportunities, margins, contracts, risks, and long-term value.
- Ability to work effectively across executive leadership, operations, finance, legal, technical teams, customers, and external partners.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead in a new or evolving role, build structure, and establish practical processes that support growth and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in energy, infrastructure, logistics, utilities, industrial services, transportation, or another asset-based commercial environment.
- Experience managing major customer accounts, commercial contracts, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, or large-scale business development initiatives.
- Familiarity with market analysis, pricing strategy, contract economics, capital project evaluation, and operational readiness considerations.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred but not required.
Position Impact:- This role will help the organization strengthen commercial discipline, improve opportunity evaluation, deepen customer relationships, and align growth initiatives with operational and financial performance. As a new leadership position, it will play an important role in shaping commercial strategy and building scalable practices for future growth.
