Full Job Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Vice President of Carrier Strategies is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to deepen HUB's relationships with carrier partners and maximize the company's organic growth. This growth is achieved through ensuring carrier solutions are contemplated on relevant new and renewal opportunities, driving joint strategic initiatives, and negotiating and maintaining compensation plans with assigned carriers. The Vice President will also partner closely with HUBs across the organization to analyze book mix and placement structure, identifying revenue opportunities that strengthen both field performance and carrier alignment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with assigned carrier partners and wholesale markets, serving as a primary point of contact for strategic dialogue and partnership development.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each assigned market's risk appetite, business model, and go-to-market strategy, and effectively communicate those perspectives across the HUB organization to drive informed placement decisions.
  • Connect carrier and wholesale market capabilities to HUB's industry practices, product practices, and CMO network, ensuring market solutions are accessible and appropriately deployed across the organization.
  • Identify and maximize revenue opportunities by negotiating, maintaining, and optimizing carrier compensation agreements across target industry and product specialties.
  • Regularly review and analyze carrier production relative to compensation agreements and revenue projections, providing internal stakeholders with timely and accurate forecasting and budget variance updates.
  • Collaborate with CMOs, commercial lines leaders, and HUB presidents to drive execution of placement strategies and ensure alignment between field activity and carrier partnership goals.
  • Monitor carrier performance on an ongoing basis, proactively identifying challenges and engaging carrier partners in solutions that protect and strengthen the relationship.
  • Prepare and present carrier relationship updates and initiative progress reports for executive leadership, ensuring visibility into key priorities and outcomes.
  • Partner with CMOs and commercial lines leaders across HUBs to analyze book mix and placement structure, surfacing revenue opportunities at the regional and local level.
  • Leverage book and placement insights to inform carrier compensation negotiations, joint initiatives, and strategic priorities that benefit both field performance and carrier relationships.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required, though commensurate experience would be considered.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry property and casualty in a senior production or leadership role.
  • High degree of business acumen is required.
  • Significant industry knowledge required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of industry standards and regulations and maintain all required industry licenses.
  • Keeps commitments, keeps others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues.
  • Addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
  • Works effectively as a leader with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
