  • Partner with Development and Operations to transition approved deals to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Acquisitions & Development Leadership
  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and advancement of acquisitions, developments, redevelopments, and expansion opportunities across target markets.
  • Develop market strategies and portfolio growth plans informed by market trends, competition, demographics, and investment priorities.
  • Oversee underwriting, valuation, business case development, and investment committee materials for transaction opportunities.
  • Lead due diligence efforts across legal, title, environmental, operational, entitlement, and financial workstreams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, developers, landowners, municipalities, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Legal and leadership on letters of intent, purchase agreements, development agreements, joint ventures, leases, and related real estate documents.
  • Manage pipeline visibility, prioritization, transaction status, risk tracking, and leadership reporting.
  • Partner with Development, Architecture, Construction, and Operations to transition approved deals into execution.
  • Provide strategic recommendations related to market entry, capital allocation, timing, risk, and portfolio fit.
  • Support continuous improvement in acquisition and development workflows, market intelligence, and decision support.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, development, investment, or portfolio growth.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, valuation, due diligence, market analysis, and development processes.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong financial analysis and executive communication capabilities.
  • Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple markets.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in self-storage, retail, industrial, multifamily, or another multi-site operating environment.
  • Experience in a public company, REIT, or growth-oriented real estate organization.
  • Strong market relationships preferred.
  • MBA or Master's in Real Estate preferred.
