Position Summary
Job Description: Systems Architect / Data Thinker (Quickbase-Focused)Vendor Management team seeking a logical, analytical systems builder to join our team as a Systems Architect / Data Thinker. This role is focused on designing, optimizing, and maintaining robust data systems, primarily leveraging Quickbase. The ideal candidate is not just a Quickbase specialist, but someone who excels at understanding data, solving complex problems, and learning new tools quickly. Your ability to think critically and architect solutions is more important than prior experience with any specific platform.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and break down complex business problems into structured, logical solutions
Design and maintain relational data structures, ensuring data integrity and normalization
Translate business requirements into efficient process flows and system logic
Build and optimize data systems using Quickbase and other relevant tools
Develop and maintain reporting structures with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand end-to-end business processes and design systems accordingly
Troubleshoot, innovate, and build creative solutions beyond standard configurations
Take ownership of projects from conception through implementation, often working through ambiguity
Leverage AI and external resources (forums, documentation, ChatGPT) to accelerate problem-solving

Required Qualifications
7+ years of directly related experience
Strong foundation in SQL and relational database concepts (table relationships, primary/foreign keys, normalization)
Analytical thinker with the ability to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and edge cases
Logical, systems-based approach to problem-solving (comfortable with if/then logic, dependencies, process flows)
Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new systems and tools quickly
Curiosity about how tools work under the hood and a resourceful mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Basic technical skills in Python, HTML, or similar languages
Experience unlocking advanced capabilities in Quickbase or similar platforms
Healthcare background
Medicaid knowledge highly desired
Education
BA or equivalent experience with a Vendor Management team
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $165,954.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
