Sign on Bonus: Up to $10k
- Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
- Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation.
- Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
- Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
- Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets and/or reports promptly if applicable, re-scanning patients as requested.
- Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, including notifying physicians of abnormal findings.
- Utilizes computer systems to update exam status, manage orders, and ensure accurate charges.
- Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment safely, adhering to infection control standards.
- Performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and rotates between multiple departments as needed.
- Assists with clinical instructions and serves as a resource to less experienced employees.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and contributes to process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Demonstrates knowledge of Vascular anatomy and physiology [Required]
- Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, and Vascular procedures [Required]
- Demonstrates ability to perform carotid exams, abdominal exams, upper and lower extremity arterial/venous studies with ankle brachial indexes, PVR, post vein ablations procedures, and imaging of pre-operative/post-operative bypass grafts, stents and endarterectomies [Required]
- Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system [Required]
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
- Ability to function independently with little or no supervision [Required]
- Ability to read and write legibly in English and perform basic mathematics skills [Required]
- Ability to communicate effectively [Required]
- Ability for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative [Required]
- Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred]
- Good organizational skills [Preferred]

Education: - High School Grad or equivalent [Required]
- Associate [Preferred]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Work Experience: - 2+ years experience in vascular sonography [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications: - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (AB) [Required]
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with OB/GYN Spec (RDMS-OBGYN) [Required]
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography RT(VS)(ARRT) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
