Centra Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery team. This position offers a diverse blend of inpatient care, outpatient clinic, operative first assisting, and procedural responsibilities while working alongside fellowship-trained vascular surgeons and an experienced APP team.
Centra Heart & Vascular Institute is home to 42 physicians, including 8 cardiovascular and vascular surgeons, and 50 Advanced Practice Providers specializing in vascular surgery, endovascular surgery, cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and pediatric/adult congenital heart disease.
Our Vascular Surgery service is supported by a dedicated team of five Advanced Practice Providers who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive vascular care. Position Details- Full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule consisting of five 8-hour workdays
- Diverse clinical responsibilities including:
- Inpatient rounding and consults
- Outpatient vascular surgery clinic
- Operative first assisting in open and endovascular procedures
- Office-based and hospital procedures
- Shared night call rotation with the Vascular Surgery APP team
- Shared weekend and holiday coverage
- Collaborative practice with fellowship-trained vascular surgeons

QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
Virginia licensure (or eligibility)
Surgical experience in vascular surgery, general surgery, or cardiothoracic surgery preferred
Motivated new graduates with a strong interest in surgery are encouraged to apply
