DTC Planner at Vans looks a little like this.
As a Planner, you will be responsible for creating, executing, and communicating strategic plans that drive financial results. Partnering with the Planning, Merchant, and Allocation teams, as well as other cross functional partners will position you to maximize sales and create inventory plans which will delivery turn targets and profitability. You will support the financial goals for Vans Americas across the US and Canada Omni markets.
Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Pre and In Season Planning - Perform pre-season and in-season planning activities including MFP and OTB across a category/gender/channel/market.
- Sales & Inventory Reporting - Analyze, consolidate, and report on sales, inventory, and replenishment data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning - Develop and maintain demand forecasts, ensuring inventory levels align with sales trends, seasonal shifts, and financial targets.
- OTB Management & Inventory Optimization - Manage OTB across regions, monitoring sales and inventory, and identifying potential risks or opportunities to optimize stock levels across all channels.
- Optimize Assortment - Partner with Merchants to align on product assortment, ensuring the right balance of breadth, depth, and productivity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with regional merchandising, allocation, and supply chain teams to ensure proper inventory distribution and replenishment.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- Proven Planning experience in a fast paced Omni, Multiple Retail Concept environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills including the ability to read, analyze and interpret retail reports.
- A proactive business management approach, completing all assignments and job duties in a timely manner.
- Advanced computer skills including Excel and Word.

Hiring Range:$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
