Job Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Program Analyst to work within our Aeronautical Systems Finance Solutions & Services (FS&S) group in Poway, Ca. The FS&S team is chartered with providing cross functional business process improvement through delivery of solutions to complex business problems in the form of enhancements to people, process, and technology. This position, under limited direction is responsible for analyzing business and technical processes to formulate, recommend, and/or develop and deliver new/modified business processes and tools. The employee will utilize leading techniques in Project Management to drive teams through the project lifecycle. A successful team member will prepare and deliver internal/external presentations through all levels of management while being highly adaptive/agile in Project Management techniques.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leads analysis and verification of user requirement specifications to ensure consistency, traceability, feasibility, and completeness; recommends and implements process improvement.
  • Responds to inquiries, identifies issues, and guides the development of innovative solutions to complex and diverse challenges concerning a variety of business processes, data, and problems which require tact and discretion in handling.
  • Work with subject-matter experts and operations leaders to document business processes and develop supporting artifacts. Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to design an effective plan to communicate and implement new processes.
  • Requires a level of comfort with unfamiliar subject matters and the ability to collaborate with and drive stakeholder engagement across at times conflicting priorities.
  • Plan, oversee, and document all aspects of assigned projects. Define scope, develop project plan, coordinate efforts and activities among team members and related parties. Plan, schedule, and lead meetings/calls. Manage all documents, record keeping, and change control.
  • Performs root cause analysis and process mapping.
  • Outlines and communicates effective objectives and action plans.
  • Facilitate and lead mapping of critical business processes transferring ownership to the process owner for sustained continual improvement.
  • Prepares business process flows and makes recommendations/propose solutions.
  • Develop best practices, and standardized work for all changes made to the value stream.
  • Develops hard copy and electronic reports as required; utilizes analysis models, prototypes, and scenarios to support decision-making and solution design.
  • Prioritizes and performs work on multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of staff, management, and sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and three or more years of experience as a Business Program Analyst (e.g., working with computerized management systems to include, but not limited to, product life cycle systems, business processes, project/business management, or project administration). May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Good knowledge of business process and life cycle management principles, theories, and concepts, and a general understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Customer focused with the ability to use independent judgment in developing solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and other external parties.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, MS365/One Drive, Microsoft Project Online/PWA, Visio, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI, SAP BI, Jira, and the Manufacturing Industry is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel as required but expected to be infrequent.
