This Opportunity

WSP is initiating a search for a Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Systems Engineer / Project Manager to provide technical support to national, regional, and local staff for the delivery of V2X projects across the US.

This is a remote postion: candidates can sit out out of any U.S. WSP office. Detroit, MI, San Diego, CA, Tallahassee, FL, Atlanta, GA, NYC, Washington D.C., and Nashville, TN are key locations.

The V2X Systems Engineer will be familiar with V2X industry standards, system deployment, integration, and operation, as well as be comfortable working with Federal, State, and local government agency clients. Familiarity with traffic signal controllers is a plus.

Your Impact and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical resource on V2X projects for the National Transportation & Infrastructure Business Line supporting regional and local offices
  • Develop System Engineering and other client documents
  • Participate in document review, design review, and project management meetings with state and local government clients
  • Design\Develop V2X messages to convey road geometry, sensor information, work zone, and other traveler information and warnings to drivers based V2X and existing client data
  • Oversee contractors in the installation of V2X devices
  • Perform integration and configuration of V2X devices, roadside equipment, and management systems
  • Perform bench testing, first article testing, and system acceptance testing of V2X devices and systems
  • Assist with inventory\asset management
  • Attend national, regional, and local industry conferences
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for projects with new and existing clients across the country
  • Assist with proposal development

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Transportation, Civil, or Systems Engineering
  • 7 to 12 years of relevant full-time post-bachelor's experience
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of V2X industry standards
  • Intermediate understanding of V2X System deployment
  • Intermediate understanding of V2X system integration and system operation
  • intermediate proficiency in technical computations and calculations involving the application of engineering principles
  • Comfortable working with Federal, State, and local government agency clients
  • Intermediate knowledge of traffic signal controller operation

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $115,200 - $195,800

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
