Full Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Behavioral science, or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a UX Design-related occupation.
  • Position requires 6 years of experience in the following: Figma or Sketch or Photoshop or Illustrator for visual, product, or UX/UI design. Design craftsmanship for creating coherent and scalable product experiences. Applying product design techniques and principles for user-centered development. Applying human-computer interaction principles to influence the design of interactive systems. Systems thinking to analyze components within technical or organizational systems.


About the job

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000 - $231,000 15% bonus target equity benefits determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google

Position reports to the Google New York, NY office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.

  • Develop and champion a cohesive design strategy and vision across Google products, building consensus with key stakeholders and leadership
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and research partners to translate user insights and business requirements into innovative design solutions
  • Create and maintain design specifications, style guides, and UX writing frameworks to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience
  • Lead design processes and guide fellow designers, providing feedback and direction to elevate the overall quality of design work
  • Utilize user research and data analytics to inform design decisions, validate concepts, and drive continuous product improvements. Defend the Google brand promise while exploring new design aesthetics and concepts to influence future product direction
