ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Utility Industrial Electrical & Facilities Supervisor position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
  • Establishing and evaluating performance requirements and personnel development targets, through regularly monitoring performance and providing coaching for performance improvement and personnel development.
  • Managing/developing Electrical Safety and training programs to include but not limited to: Annual NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, NEC training, as well as maintaining the Qualified Electrical Worker training and programs. Providing training and guidance to less experienced electricians and to skilled maintenance technicians.
  • Participating in the evaluation, retrofit, design, specification, long term planning and installation of new equipment, systems and pilot programs.
  • Developing comprehensive project scopes covering various maintenance, electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment.
  • Effectively communicating problems and solutions to resolve electrical and/or equipment maintenance problems.
  • Ensuring the safe maintenance, installation and operation of electrical systems and electrical distribution equipment for voltages from 50 VAC to 13,200 VAC.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of full-time skilled experience in the electrical trade, with at least two (2) years experience in an industrial/plant setting.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory and/or lead experience.
  • Associate's degree or trade school certificate of completion preferred
  • Experience with managing an electrical distribution network preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of application.
  • One of the following certifications must be obtained within one (1) year from the date of hire:
    • Facility Management certification
    • Electrical Journeyman card
    • Active or inactive State of Nevada Contractor's License in one of the following:
      • C-1: Plumbing and heating contracting; subclassifications
      • C-2: Electrical contracting; subclassifications.
      • C-3: Carpentry, maintenance and minor repairs; subclassifications.
      • C-21: Refrigeration and air-conditioning; subclassifications.
  • Out-of-state certifications or Journeyman card may be accepted.
Working Conditions:
  • This role may involve occasional work in confined spaces, which could require obtaining Confined Space Entry certification.
Background Investigation:
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Additional background investigations may be conducted periodically after employment.
Pre-Employment Drug Testing:
