We are seeking Field Readiness Support Lead to support a major utility modernization initiative impacting field operations and workforce systems.
Position Overview
The Field Readiness Support Lead is responsible for ensuring field teams are operationally prepared, technically supported, and confident during enterprise system deployments and process transitions.
This role operates directly within field environments and serves as the frontline bridge between technology implementation teams and field personnel. The ideal candidate combines hands-on utility field experience with strong technical proficiency and the ability to drive workforce adoption during high-impact operational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field readiness efforts during enterprise system deployments and process transitions.
- Assess team and individual readiness prior to go-live activities.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for mobile and field-based technologies.
- Translate technical updates into clear, actionable guidance for crews and supervisors.
- Identify potential adoption risks and proactively address resistance or confusion.
- Model and reinforce safety standards during operational or system changes.
- Deliver on-site coaching to support effective system utilization.
- Communicate status updates and field insights to project stakeholders and leadership.
- Document issues, resolutions, and readiness insights using Microsoft collaboration tools.
Required Qualifications
Utility Field Experience
Demonstrated experience within the utility industry, including energy, electricity, construction, telecom, or similar field operations environments. Strong understanding of field workflows, job site realities, and operational constraints.
Field Technology Proficiency
Proven ability to:
- Navigate mobile field tools and enterprise applications
- Configure and support field devices and equipment
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in real-world field conditions
Safety Knowledge & Compliance
Working knowledge of field safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Ability to model safe behaviors and promote a safety-first mindset during system deployments.
Communication Excellence
Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to:
- Clearly relay updates and instructions to field personnel
- Simplify complex technical concepts into practical explanations
- Present confidently to both operational teams and leadership
Change Impact & Adoption Support
Demonstrated ability to:
- Evaluate workforce readiness for deployment
- Identify adoption barriers
- Coach and support employees through system and process changes
- Reinforce sustained adoption of new tools and ways of working

Licensing Requirement
Must possess and maintain a valid California Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Enterprise System Deployment Experience
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise system implementations, including ERP transformations such as SAP replatform initiatives.
System & Tool Familiarity
Experience with field scheduling tools, mobile workforce systems, or ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA or asset management modules.
Change & Readiness Frameworks
Foundational understanding of:
- Change impact assessment methodologies
- Business readiness planning
- Workforce transition support models
