Our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team addresses the evolving challenges faced by private capital investors and multinational companies amid changing tax and trade regulations, increased tax risk, and reputational pressures. Our globally connected services support the entire transaction lifecycle, from strategy to disposal, providing robust tax advice crucial for strategic business decisions in a dynamic market, and empowering clients to navigate complex transactions and optimize their corporate structures.
Your Key Responsibilities If you like solving puzzles, especially where the puzzle constantly evolves as clients embark on new ventures, countries evolve their laws, and courts issue rulings, then international tax might be right for you.
We help our clients sustainably grow their business by assisting them with their cross-border tax obligations, supply chain, transactions, planning, reporting and risk management. As part of ITTS - International Corporate Tax Advisory (ICTA) team, you'll research and analyze a client's issue to get a better understanding of the business need, communicate your findings and then articulate an approach in a way your client can understand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building on technical competence by keeping up-to-date on trends, developments and technical authorities and applying them to moderately complex situations.
- Providing timely and high-quality services and work products that clients expect.
- Building client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of client business.
- Demonstrating professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.
- Contributing to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keeping team members informed of work status; actively seeking assignments when unassigned; proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services; challenging traditional procedures used in the past; and attempting to find new, more effective approaches.
Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have: - Actively working towards obtaining either an LL.M. in Taxation or Juris Doctor, supported by a strong academic record.
- Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar.
- A high-level of self-motivation to work and learn both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
- Time management skills to prioritize effectively when working on multiple complex projects.
- Flexibility to adapt to new challenges and a genuine desire to learn.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools including Excel, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.
- An interest working in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office location associated with this position.

Ideally, you will have: - An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Cumulative law school GPA of 3.0 or above.
- The ability to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $105,000 - $150,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
