What you will do in TaxOur 360 Careers Tax model is all about providing our people with the skills, information and knowledge to take on some of the biggest challenges in taxation. You will spend a large portion of your time directly engaged in complex compliance projects for our clients. This will be balanced with research, planning, and meetings with senior colleagues. EY focuses on a variety of industries, including but not limited to: automotive and transportation, consumer products, financial services, health and life sciences, media and entertainment, mining and metals, oil and gas, power and utilities, and technology.
Your key responsibilities- Handling and supporting a wide variety of tax compliance and reporting processes.
- Assisting with tax due diligence on behalf of a private equity firm.
- Preparing tax returns for a range of entity types and jurisdictions, including privately held businesses to publicly traded companies.
- Working with audit teams to determine whether tax accounts are appropriate for financial statements.
- Researching tax code and writing memos for clients.
- Improving the tax effectiveness of supply chain structures.
- Developing and utilizing a diverse network of colleagues across the business.
Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have- A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting; supported by a strong academic record.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required, with a preference for candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Meet the firm's current eligibility requirements and complete the educational requirements for CPA licensure, which includes obtaining 150 credit hours prior to beginning full-time employment and having a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
- Excellent English language communication skills.
- An interest in working with our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $78,000 to $100,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
