Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary: The Critical Facilities Technician is responsible for managing and executing highly skilled technical operations within a mission-critical data center environment. This role ensures continuous availability, reliability, and efficiency of building management systems (BMS), mechanical and electrical infrastructure, utility plants, and HVAC systems. The position also supports all maintenance activities required to sustain optimal data center performance.
What you'll do: - Inspecting and examining heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning, chillers, air compressors, heat exchangers, medium and low voltage switch gear, and all auxiliary equipment to locate defects in operations
- Managing water treatment chemicals for cooling towers, chillers, or other critical facilities systems
- Managing electrical distribution and controls including UPS systems, PDU's, generators, switchgear
- Monitoring and updating the Energy Management Controls System and BMS systems
- Managing or performing preventive maintenance, installations, inspections, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and replacement of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, associated parts and systems)
What you'll bring: - Experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution, including UPS, PDUs, generators, and emergency power systems.
- Strong mechanical expertise in HVAC, chillers, pumps, and cooling systems within critical environments.
- Proficiency in building management and automation controls (BMS) to monitor and optimize performance.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate work on utility plant mechanical and electrical systems, including vendors.
- Willingness to support 24/7 operations, including night shifts and weekends, with a high level of accountability and responsiveness.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
