As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. This role requires ownership of the full software lifecycle, ensuring quality through system design reviews and continuous improvement. You will collaborate across teams to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions, mentor engineering talent, and drive technical excellence. Your expertise in cloud-native architecture and data-driven decision-making will support innovation and operational efficiency, contributing to the delivery of robust, maintainable, and high-impact software solutions aligned with business objectives.

Join a dynamic engineering team dedicated to enhancing the Seller Experience and advancing Walmart's Marketplace and Fulfillment Services. This team develops scalable, innovative solutions impacting millions of shoppers globally and supports Walmart International's retail network across 20+ countries. Collaborating across functions, the group addresses customer, associate, and business needs by leveraging advanced fulfillment infrastructure and modern technologies. What you'll do:
  • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
  • Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
  • Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Build AI-driven applications integrating intelligent automation features using multiple programming languages.
  • Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through best practices.

  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and products by embracing innovation and data-driven decision making.

  • Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to deliver maintainable and modular solutions.
  • Experience driving full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
  • Ability to integrate AI/ML components and develop intelligent automation using languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C++.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with mentorship skills and sound technical judgment for architectural decisions.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
