Position Summary...
About Team:
Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.

What you'll do...
As a Sr. Software Engineer, you'll leverage your Bluetooth Low Energy and software engineering expertise to manage customer integrations and deliver production solutions while collaborating with internal support, product, and engineering teams. Your work will focus on supporting, debugging, and creating customer solutions for the C5000 device using Edge Connect, a BLE data processing engine deployed across all Walmart stores.

What you'll do:
  • You will author production Edge Connect Recipes
  • You will engage with the team (or customer) to manage and communicate timelines and efforts to deliver features
  • Works with our partners to define and scope news solutions for Walmart and vendors.
  • Works with the Product & Engineering teams to determine the best solution for an application - based on a deep understanding of our product & services capabilities.
  • Develops features and/or fixes bugs in Edge Connect and Edge Direct codebase as a contributor.


What you'll bring:
  • Security first approach to IoT solution design
  • Passion for troubleshooting solutions distributed across many systems, companies, vendors etc
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Golang
  • Experience with Linux - Bonus points for Ubuntu Core
  • Understanding of Linux networking - (TCP/IP, x509, TLS)
  • Understanding of BLE concepts

Sunnyvale, California US-11349: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
