What you'll do...
Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure development while driving full lifecycle management across multiple teams. The position champions DevOps practices, cloud cost optimization, and technical excellence, fostering collaboration across engineering, product, and data teams. By guiding architectural decisions and mentoring engineers, this role ensures high system availability, performance, and continuous improvement aligned with business objectives.
About the team:
The Commerce team develops and maintains multiple back-end codebases supporting digital goods purchases on Vizio OS TVs, including subscriptions, rentals, and purchases. This platform integrates third-party services to deliver scalable, reliable solutions aligned with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. The team collaborates across functions to drive continuous improvement through effective project and stakeholder management. Leveraging expertise in cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and software product management, the team ensures high-quality delivery and operational excellence while focusing on innovation and alignment with business goals.
What you'll do:
  • Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
  • Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks to support scalable, secure development and seamless system integration.
  • Drive full software development lifecycle across teams, championing DevOps architecture, CI/CD practices, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to deliver AI-integrated features and intelligent automation.
  • Mentor engineers, promote technical quality, and guide architectural decisions to ensure maintainability and performance.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, track operational metrics, and ensure timely delivery of complex technical initiatives.

Irvine, California US-11570: The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00

DALLAS, Texas US-11571: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
