Position Summary...

What you'll do...
Role summary:

As the Senior Manager, Data Science, you will lead advanced analytics initiatives to evaluate and design future last mile delivery models across Walmart's evolving fulfillment ecosystem, including FC Direct, Internalized Parcel, X-Depots, sortation assets, and emerging alternative delivery networks. You will also play a role in overseeing competitive intelligence projects to identify alternate supply chain operating models and benchmark competitors' operations against Walmart.
About the team:

Our team drives the future of Walmart's e-commerce fulfillment and supply chain strategy through advanced network design, optimization modeling, and cross-functional decision support. We develop network strategies aligned with our Customer Value Proposition targets and collaborate closely with partners in Operations, Engineering, Transportation, and Finance to guide long-term network decisions and capital investments. Utilizing Data Science, Operations Research, and AI, we optimize capital allocation, fulfillment efficiency, delivery economics, and overall customer experience.
What you'll do:
  • Develop the requirements, gather the necessary inputs, and oversee the development of data science-driven optimization models to drive optimal fulfillment and last mile delivery, primarily within Walmart's Fulfillment Center and X-Depot network.
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills and AI tools to quickly generate insights and identify scenarios for deeper modeling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain strategies and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create business-focused presentations to frame discussions and communicate strategy with Walmart leadership.

What you'll bring:
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain optimization concepts, including last mile delivery and routing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of delivering actionable business solutions in complex environments.
  • Experience in communicating effectively across a range of stakeholders, from technical design requirements to business strategy presentations.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders through data-driven decision making.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
