Will you shape the future or will the future shape you?

The opportunity

EY-Parthenon's unique combination of transformative strategy, transactions and corporate finance delivers real-world value - solutions that work in practice, not just on paper. Benefiting from EY's full spectrum of services, we've reimagined strategic consulting to work in a world of increasing complexity.

With deep functional and sector expertise, paired with innovative AI-powered technology and an investor mindset, we partner with CEOs, Boards, Private Equity and Governments every step of the way - enabling you to shape your future with confidence.

Your key responsibilities

The Ernst & Young Infrastructure Advisors, LLC team provides financial, strategic and commercial advice on large scale infrastructure projects and programs across the United States, with a focus on public sector clients (e.g., federal, state and local agencies, economic development authorities and universities) and innovative capital projects and programs (including public-private partnerships) across multiple sectors, including all modes of transportation, utilities and renewable energy, social infrastructure, telecom, and urban redevelopment and resilience, and other components of the built environment.

We're setting precedent in a rapidly evolving and growing industry, and we'll need you to drive innovation by helping our clients address challenges and think critically about the way projects are developed and have a long-lasting impact on infrastructure delivery and operations across the country. As an advisor, you'll be a core, client-facing member of small engagement teams of 3-4 people, making this role ideal for developing your skills and career. With support from your tight-knit team, you'll have the autonomy to grow and excel, all while working on truly transformational infrastructure projects.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • An education background that includes work toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a finance, business, economics, public policy, urban planning or engineering related field.

  • Advanced PC capabilities, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.

  • The expectation for this role is in person teaming, at client site or in an EY office, a minimum of 60% of the time or on average 3 days a week over the course of an engagement, project or performance year.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

  • Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to influence and support both colleagues and clients.

  • A methodical approach to work, and the ability to prioritize while working with a portfolio of projects.

  • Experience in financial analysis, capital planning, urban planning, and/or public sector procurement.

  • A demonstrated passion for work involving the public good and infrastructure or strong desire to develop professionally in the infrastructure finance arena.

  • Proficiency with other relevant software and tools including MS Project, SharePoint, PowerBI, GIS mapping, Python, etc.

  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
