The opportunity

At EY Consulting, we are building a better working world by transforming businesses through the power of people, technology and innovation. Our clients are at the heart of what we do. We're focused on solving the key issues of our client buyers, building deeper relationships and generating lasting value with significant impact.

Our firm sets the standard for consulting services, fostering an environment that encourages career ownership at every stage. As a part of the Business Transformation team, you'll be at the forefront of this dynamic service line, driving change and delivering solutions that revolutionize business operations. You'll help our clients with transformation and innovation efforts: driving growth, reducing costs and managing risks proactively.

Business Transformation is a multi-disciplinary competency that helps problem-solve, design and deliver large-scale, long-term, multi-stakeholder transformation programs for Financial Services and Government & Infrastructure clients. You will also support EY's focus on AI-enabled, domain-specific solutions, emerging technologies, industry-specific platforms and integrated teaming across Business Transformation and broader Consulting.

Your key responsibilities

Business Transformation consultants help clients embrace, adapt and transform their business by asking forward-thinking questions that lead to innovative solutions and help clients remain competitive and successful.

As a staff consultant, you will:

  • Help our clients tackle some of the most pressing end-to-end challenges being driven by the changing digital environment.

  • Define and optimize commercial functions and go-to-market strategies across pricing, sales, marketing and client experience, supported by technology alliances and data-driven insights.

  • Create and sustain value for clients by helping them reimagine and mobilize new business and operating models, improve performance, manage transformation delivery and drive sustainable change.

  • Adopt experience-led methodologies to help clients reimagine, design and execute enterprise transformation through product, digital, design and scaled delivery capabilities.

  • Support transformation management, product management, complex program management, agile delivery, portfolio management, governance, reporting and value realization activities.

  • Contribute to AI-enabled, technology-enabled and domain-specific solutions that help clients shape the future with confidence.

  • Collaborate across Business Transformation, Finance, Risk, People and Technology Consulting teams to bring integrated solutions and stronger sector insight to clients.

Industry sectors:

Our professionals are focused in two different industry sectors within which there are various opportunities available to start your career. You will have the opportunity to express your preferences during the recruitment process. The sectors are:

  • The Financial Services Organization (FSO), which serves clients across the following industries: Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management.

  • Government & Infrastructure, which serves federal, state and local agencies and higher education institutions.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must:

  • Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Management, Consulting, Management Information Systems, IT, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems, Innovation, Public Health, healthcare or government-related majors.

  • Have experience with Python or other technical languages, a basic understanding of AI and familiarity with prompt logic and data needs to drive AI modeling.

  • Be interested in using AI, data and emerging technology to support business transformation, operating model change and client value creation.

  • Understand that the expectation for this role is in person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week depending on the needs of the engagement, project or practice area.

  • Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

  • Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates applying to the Government & Public Sector practice must:

  • Have U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated time frame, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance.

  • Display interest in digital, industry change, consulting and transformation through relevant work experience, extracurricular involvement, coursework or demonstrated knowledge and skills.

  • Are a purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to innovate, adapt and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.
