We're focused on solving the key issues of our client buyers, building deeper relationships and generating lasting value with significant impact.

Our firm sets the standard for consulting services, fostering an environment that encourages career ownership at every stage. As a part of our Risk Technology team, you'll be at the forefront of this dynamic service line, driving change and delivering solutions that revolutionize business operations. You'll help our clients with transformation and innovation efforts: driving growth, reducing costs and managing risks proactively.

Your key responsibilities

As a staff consultant, you will support essential project tasks, learn from experienced colleagues and begin to build your expertise within your chosen domain. You will contribute to the success of each project, ensuring goals are met in line with client needs and gaining the confidence of team members through your dedication and growing knowledge. This role provides an opportunity to tackle real-world challenges, connect with seasoned professionals and potential mentors and participate in exciting projects. If you are eager to learn, have a knack for explaining ideas simply and enjoy a vibrant work setting, this position is the perfect starting point for your career.

Within the Risk Technology practice, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' businesses. As an entry-level staff member, you will be immersed in a world of cutting-edge technology designed to predict, analyze and manage risks. You will contribute to the development and implementation of sophisticated risk management tools, help ensure compliance with ever-evolving regulations and assist in crafting robust disaster recovery plans. Your fresh perspective will be vital as we continuously monitor the risk landscape, adapting strategies to mitigate potential threats. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your technical and analytical skills while making a tangible impact on the resilience and success of our clients' operations.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must:

  • Be pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree with a strong foundation in business information technology, information systems, computer information systems, IT security or management information systems/IT management.

  • Have a passion for technology and an ardent desire to work in risk management.

  • Know how to effectively leverage firm approved AI tools to enhance problem-solving and productivity and have the ability to exercise sound judgment around AI-related risks and considerations.

  • Be able to assess and articulate the evolving risks that AI presents to clients across multiple risk domains.

  • Understand that the expectation for this role is in person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week depending on the needs of the engagement, project or practice area.

  • Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

  • Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.

Ideally you:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

  • Have experience or interest in process design, ERP (SAP/Oracle), Microsoft office, SQL, Programming, Process mining, AI governance, Solution architecture and risk technology enablement.

  • Are a purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to innovate, adapt and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.

  • Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
